Be naughty and have them with chips and a salad/beans. We often have pork burger (frikadelle) like this and we don't miss the bun.

cowboy hash with the burgers - chop and fry an onion, add to some beans with a slug of lea and perrins or bbq sauce, chops the burgers into chunks, and add it to the mix.

this is one of our 'el cheapo' using up odds and ends meals but it is lurvley :D we normally have it with waffles or hash browns. Proper student grub!

sorry to hear that you're poorly, you've had a rough old time of it haven't you? :grouphug:

Yeah, the last year has sucked healthwise. This time is different though, I don't feel ill...but I am tired and have no voice. DOH!

Anyway burgers have been had...unfortunately before I saw your suggestion Pav, so I went the way of SmlSave. :D Yummy.

I've had some lovely emails off the people at work and off the students that are leaving. Both say they are leaving a pressie with the HOD for me - which is sweet (I never got any of my mentors anything). I feel like I need to keep being constructive but I guess it'll wait until tomorrow. Time to get a grip and rest while I can I think. LOL.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Glad you decided to rest your voice. I know a teacher that tried to work through it, then was off for months, and then had to teach with a microphone - not fun. You have definately made the right decision, hope you feel better soon! Give me a shout if you need any advice with your tutoring - good luck!

I'm doing it through the government scheme so am hoping it will be pretty straight forward. However any advice on how to structure that first session or how to approach it would be brilliant. Tutoring is something iv though about but never done because I don't have space at home for it, and I'm not keen on the idea of going into other peoples houses. I'm oddly looking forward to it.

Hope the government don't scrap it now. xx

Right being the queen of finding other tasks to distract myself from what I should be doing I've done nothing off my list...so now...I need to clean and scrub the yard...I'll do that, take Belle out for a big walk.

By which time it should be dry enough for me to sort out the recycling out there...but before I do that I'll have to do the washing up or I won't be able to get my bucket in the sink. Booooooo....so much to do.

I've been doing work...just none that's relevant. :rotfl:

GO me!! Belle, taken on a 3 mile walk, yard scrubbed and cleaned, recycling sorted and some of the washing is done!! :j

I will do the rest of it after tea so I can wash those pots up as well. I need to fold the washing at some point as well. :D I'm having a curry for tea!! Got one of those saddo "for one" meal things from sainsbury's.

Right time for a brew before contemplating more chores. :D

I love it when you have a productive time...I feel really good and positive. Feels weird not having a drink though at the start of the holidays. Stupid antibiotics...I could really go for some Vino right about now!

Anyway, I've arranged to meet up with my sis on Wednesday which is exciting...not seen her in over a year!! Having said that, I'm sure Belle will make the whole experience stressful. My sister has 2 Yorkshire Terriers and I'm terrified that Belle will squash them. Fingers crossed she behaves herself.

I've missed my hubby so much his week. I wish he was here! :( Still he'll be here within 12 hours...oooh 11 even. I'm very excited. :j

I'm sure Belle will be fine with the two Terriers :) Remember they're used to being small! Keep calm and she'll pick it up from you.

Well done on your productive day :) with a 3 mile walk and no wine for a bit you'll have an extra healthy half term

Thanks honey...I won't actually stress about the whole dog situation. It's just my sis is of the opinion that since they are little normal rules of dog ownership do not apply. They run round everywhere, everyone and everything...my slight concern is Belle will try doing the same. lol

I'm going armed with her fav treats and taking her on a BIG walk before we go though...so fingers crossed she'll be too tired to be arsed. Ha ha.

Right a few things to get sorted today...mainly finance wise. Can't set up DH's DD because I need a meter reading which he STILL didn't give to me. I can get the meter reading next week...but won't have the internet until Sunday...grr..so will have to do it then.
