    Hi folks

    Pleased to announce another NSD!!!

Not been out except to take the dog. Really buckling down to this lack of spending! Although had a disaster yesterday - washing machine rebelled n died.Ordered 1 online from argos so least can spread the cost over 6 months. Thought things were going too well.

Hey erme, just wondering how you are getting on with your shampoo? How much does it work out at per wash?

Currently we are using a stock of cond from ast year I got vvv cheap in asda and shampoos are coming courtesy of our B00ts points ( the cheapest is 89p) Our boots points will run out soon and we only have one conditioner left in the store then we are out. I have vvvv dry and desperate for a cut and frizzy so conditioner helps. Not using cond isnt an option for me ( tried it, didnt work)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I get fed up of trying to think of ways to use up overripe bananas, as eldest son wont eat them when they get past a certain stage of ripeness, but need them in the house, as he would eat one per day if right ripeness!

If you peel bananas before they get too ripe, you can freeze them in a tupperware box. They keep quite well, in fact they make a sort of lolly (with no handle).

    Free starbucks coffee tomorrow:

Enjoy a smooth start to 2011 with a free fresh filter coffee at Starbucks.

On Monday 10th January you can enjoy free fresh filter coffee from participating Starbucks in the UK or Ireland. It’s the perfect start to the morning ... or afternoon... or evening.

All you have to do is:
    1. Print or download the voucher to your phone: http://wish.starbuckscard.co.uk/filtercoffee/voucher.html
    2. Go to your local Starbucks, anytime, on Monday 10th January
    3. Show your voucher and ask for your free fresh filter coffee
    4. Add sugar, whole milk or skimmed – however you like it best
    5. Sit back (or take it to go) and enjoy the taste of fresh filter coffee!

We’re really looking forward to seeing you, and we’d love to hear what you think – click ‘Accept’ and we’ll stay in touch.

The last time I looked on Approved Foods they had Creighton's conditioner going cheap - does anybody know this brand? I have a feeling it is meant for Afro-Caribbean type hair and an African hairdresser told me that white people with dry hair (like mine) should consider using those products as they are excellent conditioners. Might be worth a look.

I'm feeling relieved. I was looking at my totals a day or so ago and getting discouraged but I now realise I've done lots of store-cupboard buying, stocking up on stuff since New Year. So though I'm way over totals, it will pay off in future. :) Phew!

Noticed something today: Loyd Grossman tomato & basil £1.02 in the Co-op, £1.60 :eek:in Morrison's! OTOH Morrison's had loads of cheese, ham & bread whoopsied, including big slabs of mozzarella so I now have enough to make loads of pizza when I choose to defrost it...:D but methinks I'll start checking out their 'normal' prices more often against the Co-Op.

Salski - do you have to have a Starbucks card to get that voucher? i clicked on the link but it looks a bit blurry, not sure if it's OK?

I do these for my eldest as they can be funny with fruit, I defy a child not to eat them!

Creightons are Potter and Moore's standard hair products. Very English! Although under the Urban Therapy brand they do a range called Twisted Sista, especially for Afro-Carribean hair. Creightons is sold in chemists and a few supermarkets. That said, hairdresser is right, the products made for that hair type are amazing for dry hair :)

Sauces/pasta bake sauces are that price till the 18th only at the Co-op. Also Co-op fair trade 100g size coffee is 84p down from £1.69(Like dark roast standard Nescafe). I did not get as I do not like rich roast, I prefer the gold blend type. But I just realised how good this is - 84p???

Saving £ today by accident! NSD and the dinner I made for tonight will be used tomorrow as my children went to their Dad's as I am rough. I'll be lucky if I get toast down me. There is ALWAYS a postive eh :rotfl:

    Welcome frugalbrunette
