My dishwasher has broken, so my daughters (11 and 8) now have to do the washing up "manually" as it was their job to load and unload it daily. I would just like to say that I am incredibly proud of them as they have settled into doing this every evening, and clean up the kitchen after themselves brilliantly. They have never had to do this before - and although like all kids try to get out of it do a good job.Donna
Economy; careful management; providence. Whether you call it thrifty or frugality it all comes down to getting more for your money.0 -

Great, thanks very much, will update you when I have done my maths! I have just looked at mortgages because our fixed rate is coming to an end in April and I can save about £60 a month :jas long as rates don't go up before then!Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

Can't remember if I said this or not, but thanks Cheryl for adding the Whoopsies formulae onto the spreadsheet in the "other" spends bit. It's been really helpful for me0

Doh - I had saved some posts that I wanted to reply to and I lost them! Apologies for not replying to posts but I don't hold out much hope of going back and catch up as this thread is hurtling along at full speed these days. <insert appropriate replies here>
;)
I love dipping in and out though - keeps me on the straight and narrow budget-wise!
Today was my 4th spending day of the year and I'm doing ok so far. The fridge is full and I could easily last till next month without buying more food but I will probably add a little more fresh stuff.
Hope everyone is ok and hugs to anyone who isn't.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
