    Hi All

Had a 'spendy' yesterday. Went into Lidl to see if they had any of their fitness trainers in my size - not stocked in our local one grrrrr. Went into Aldi as I had to go past on my way to Yoga (no extra petrol ;) & they had some but were £27.00 (Sketchers are about £80) when I got to the checkout they'd changed the price to the same as Lidl - result!! Shame they didnt have any of their 2kg Chunky Oven Chips - I'll have to wait 'till next week - not making a special journey
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

My behind is growing as we speak! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I can't let my behind grow. New trousers are not in my budget :D

I've never bought premium ice-creams (well, once or twice for special days - but they were flavoured ones rather than vanilla), but DS got through loads of normal ice-cream. I didn't even like the look of the value stuff (yes, I lifted a lid in store to take a peek), so we've never tried that one. But the vanilla ice-cream from A!di isn't bad - and DS could get through a tub in just a few days, so he clearly didn't mind it either ;)

 I wish we'd taken a look before we bought :rotfl:We don't have an Aldi, but I'm sure Lidl's ice cream will be much better. Things can only improve :D I think it would be more frugal if he gave up ice cream, but I don't think I'll convince him that's a good idea.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

Aw big hugz. Hope you feel cheerier soon. Not seen the film but I had heard she wasn't as you imagine her to be.
DD and I are having a girly night in. We're going to watch 'It's complicated' with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. Looks funny and it's a frugal night in. Mind you she's fast asleep on the sofa at the moment. Will have to give her a nudge later :)

Well my frugal plans for the night were to stay in the house, wear a big jumper and start writing Ebay descriptions.

I've been tempted into going to the cinema (woo!) using my Unlimited card but will buy ice-cream while I'm there because you've all been talking about it :rotfl::rotfl:

I forgot to allocate the amount my cinema card costs me in my budget, so I'm going to have to go some on Ebay this weekend as it's nearly £150  My parents have bought it for me in previous years as my Christmas present, but this year I got a Cuttlebug :j

Best get ready to go out - need to find big jumpers as by the time I come out of the pictures it's due to be Snowmageddon again....

    Enjoy your 'bug :)

I went for a BigSh0t just before the 'bug was released. Had seen all promo stuff for it, but decided the BS was more stable for letting my GDs loose on it.

Mine cost £55 (I think) and came with free embossing folders.

Craft superstore has a good offer on at the moment too. It's worth asking on the Making Cards thread if you're planning on getting one - those ladies can sniff out a crafting bargain like a pig sniffs truffles :rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you to everyone who helped with my phone mishap last night, it's just come back to life! :T I may just put it back into its rice bed and pop it in the airing cupboard tonight though just in case! :)

DH popped to Tesco while I was still at work and got presents for my cousins kids for me - needed a card, a present for a newborn and a present for a one-year-old. He spent just over a tenner and within that got some garlic puree so that we could make garlic bread tonight as a treat with butter and little rolls you bake in the oven we have left over from christmas. I was very impressed! :j Also, I got a new packet of pine nuts out of the cupboard and he pointed out a packet we hadn't finished last time. :o He's definitely coming round to this frugalness (is that a word...?) :D

As for the rest of you ... well you are all making me hungry and I am trying to eat healthily! :rotfl: So if anyone has recipes for fatburning chocolate cakes, please share! Actually I really must go and search out some every day lunch and dinner ideas that are healthy and filling. If anyone has any recipes (veggie or that could be adapted to being veggie) that might fit the bill then I'd love to hear them!

Ooops! :o:D Erm, well tonight I had red pesto pasta if that helps? :)

I'll have to google these things, I have no idea what they are! :o
