Hi everyone!
How are you all?
Well not sure how i'm going to do this challenge now. Been keeping track but we've had some unexpected turn of events.
OH lost his job today, basically there's been no plumbing work. so his boss has to let him go. so were using this weekend to decide whether to go self employed or sign on the dole.
I also managed to do myself in again, i collapsed on Wednesday and ended damaging my knee cap again. so now my leg is in a splint and i'm back on crutches. So no hope of me finding a job for the next few weeks.
On the plus siide, i found a sewing / quilting group which is once a week, and the woman who runs it has offered to show me how to use my sewing machine. I'm so chuffed, so if i;m well enough i go back on Monday for a workshop. It costs £2.50 for a 3 hour session, but it includes drink, biscuits, instructions, discounts of material and free workshops. I'm the youngest one there by about 30 years but the people who go are lovely and so helpful.

Sorry to hear your news Kezlou but glad you have found something positive through your sewing group. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Hi everybody,
Popping on to update my signature again.
Currently running at well below the daily average for savings, and just slightly over the daily average for spends. Gotta admit I'm a little bit disappointed that the spends are slightly over as I thought I was doing ok, but putting a positive spin on it I have bought a few things for stockpiling ( potentially spaving?).
Savings-wise I haven't met my target as my hours at work haven't recovered yet since Christmas, but again on the positive side that is hopefully going to change starting on Monday, so here's hoping things start to pick up.
<<Dodgy hugs>> and back rubs to peeps having a bad time of it at the moment, and happy claps and pats on the back to peeps having a good time of it.
And Happy Birthdays to 23rd Spiral and Cheryl.

Sorry to hear of your woes. At least your OH has skills that he can translate into his own business should he choose to which is a bonus. Hope your knee gets better soon - its not your pedal foot is it?? You will need that to sew lol.
I just wanted to say don't knock being the youngest - those people will probably be able to teach you anything you want to know and from there you can educate other friends. Thats why trades and hobbies are being lost because we aren't sharing the knowledge! We have "as a nation, as a generation" lost that family community who taught us how to do stuff. Glad to hear you have found some!Donna
