guess I'll just have to settle for the one my grand-daughters (aged 7 & 5) are hopefully making for me then ;)

I hope they do for you!

Know my mum is making one for my 50th next month :D

Not sure if the :D is for the birthday number, or the cake!

Well, I just made my first ever mortgage overpayment :D Only £100, but every little helps!

For the bakers - Morrisons have 1.5kg bags of Be-ro flour for 70p, which I thought was a total bargain, as is their Bachelor's condensed soups for 37p a tin.

Better go and pack for my trip I suppose! Happy Fridays to all :j

    Spends today:

£10 via Groupon for 10 fitness classes at my local gym (eek!!) My normal idea of exercise is lifting crisps to my face, but it's ten minutes walk away and it's about time I tried something like that :D

£2.68 on two food storage boxes in Morrisons
£0.74 on two tins of bargain soup
    £0.69 on chewing gum
    £0.99 on eggs (whoopsied)

We were all home for lunch today so frugally finished the pasta bake and then a couple of people called after I had taken to my bed for an hour or so - (feel very tired and achy) and the cookies have been demolished.

  • Three weeks into the New Year, and I'm really chuffed with the savings I've made. Nothing fantastic, compared to some, but it meant that when my credit card bill arrived yesterday, I was able to pay it immediately instead of waiting till the end of the month! :j

Just as well, cos I had a little peep at the meters this morning, and worked out our gas/leccy spending - it's nearly as big as the national debt!

Hope everyone is well and has a pleasant, but frugal, weekend.

    xx
