Aah sorry to have forgotten you. I'm going to try it again in the breadmaker to start like you do, as I managed to get dough everywhere on Sunday and see which I prefer. If I don't like it the breadmaker is going!

Midwinter is that the daisy lakeland one? I got that too I couldn't resist!
We were all home for lunch today so frugally finished the pasta bake and then a couple of people called after I had taken to my bed for an hour or so - (feel very tired and achy) and the cookies have been demolished.

Yes it is the Lakeland one, first time I've used it, so wasn't sure how it would work out!

Turned out of the tin OK, will make a 3 egg mix next time, and lemon drizzle cake works well with it :D.

And hope you're feeling better soon :)

I have had another spendy day today! I bought a gillet in the sales for £6, because I was cold at home, I'm trying to not have the heating on. Also bought 4 radiator airers from Agoose for £5.10. So I feel those purchases will be money saving in the long run! Then went to the butchers and got 10 lb lean mince, 6 lb chuck steak, 2 chicken breasts and 4 sauages for £42, not really cheap but I am really fussy about meat and this is all local and lovely! I made the leaftover chicken recipe with the sausages, beans etc that someone posted a link for the other day with some pasta, it was scrummy so thank you for that.
Tomorrow I have a friend coming for lunch who I haven't seen for 3 years! Going to do pasta (again!) with pesto and a can of mixed beans and grated cheese on top and will try and bake a cake in the morning. Also got a breadmaker today from a friend so might have a go at some bread. In the evening I am going out drinking with friends which I hardly ever do (so i will be on the floor by 9pm!), I have put some money aside for this a few weeks ago from selling things so it won't come out of my budget.

Hugs to everyone who's feeling fed up, poorly or sad or anyone who wants a hug!

Ooh glad it went well midwinter. I didn't make the banana cake I was planning on the other day as the bananas got eaten in the end (not by me - they have to be nearly green!) so I might make the lemon drizzle at the weekend -got plenty of lemons in.

This has been a really odd week. I decided to splurge on a Halogen Cooker from A*di as they were on offer. At the beginning of the week I won £10 on a quiz site so that's going towards it. Postman came today with £10 of Wickes vouchers (we'd been doing some building work last year) & a £20 cheque from the DVLC! DH had to renew his HGV licence this month & they said he needed a new photo & the way the form reads you have to pay £20 for the privelege ( & £100 for the medical :( ) so perhaps if they ask you to renew your photo you dont have to pay (DH said it was because he was so good looking they were paying him !!)
THEN I won another tenner on the quiz site - do you think I ought to buy a lottery ticket..........?????
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
