Hi Gelmc the spreadsheet is in the opening post I think.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

Hello Gelmc, Nice to meet you! Minnie I'm glad your dog is ok now, that must be a massive relief for you. Re the gammon, either cut it into meal sized pieces and cook seperatly or cook the whole thing at once and freeze into portions. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/162305 This is a thread about gammon in coke with a link to a rather nice Nigella receipe. I had it in cherry coke at a friends before and it was lush.

Had a couple of spendy days this weekend, but thankfully I managed to finally get some whoopsies in Mr A. Smoked haddock 50p was £4.70, 12 free range eggs 10p and some other bits of pieces for pennies. I was rather chuffed!

My landlady has finally been to fix the washing machine today, it's been broken since october and I was starting to get annoyed. Nearly fainted though when I saw she had left it on the longest 90 degree intensive wash which literally boils clothes for four hours - despite the full washbasket next to the machine, she had just put in two tea towels  swear words have been said!

Wahoo, my cashback for changing power suppliers is showing as validated on Quidco :D

That will be £75 quite soon and then another £75 once I've been with them for (I think) 6 months. Whoop whoop :D:D:D

Well done you, I feel a bit ill, I didn't realise you could get cashback for changing supplier! Duh! I've only just changed, however I'll wait until they've exchanged my prepayment meter for a credit one and then see about changing again - mwahahahaha!

I do nigellas gammon in coke all the time. It works fine with the cheapest of the cheap value cola, so dont waste your pennies on "proper" coke for this as youll need a whole bottle probably!

I then slice the ham really thinly with my eletric carving knife ( a great buy makes meat stretch a lot further thna it used to!) and use it then in pasta, pizza toppings, sandwiches etc.

    YUM!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Wow! Folks have been busy while I've been out (again!) But I managed another NSD, as I took over food from here to cook over there (he should have been coming this way, but wasn't really well enough to be driving)......

Bit of an 'experience' though as he doesn't currently have an oven/grill/hob, which meant I only had use of a (pretty naff) mini oven I've lent him (makes toast reasonably well) and his big-standard microwave. Jacket spuds and salmon I can do in a micro OK, but it's a loooooong time since I've used one to cook fresh carrots and brocolli !! Turned out OK though :)

gelmc - check the links in the first post for 'my FREE spreadsheet', and welcome aboard :)

hopefully this link will work, i was same with bread but its getting better, i half this recipe and put it in breadmaker on dough setting, i use plain flour as its lighter.Once the breadmaker has done its bit i knead it again pop it in a bowl and leave until doubled in size, i dont bake it like it says on hottest oven for 10 mins as i find this makes crust go too hard. oh almost forgot i put the yearst in the water first and let it activate.
as i say this method has improved my breadmaking skills.:D

Thank you so much for that link, although the dough was hard to work with it made the most delicious bread! I had no complaints unlike in the past and even garnered some compliments!:)
