Well two odds and sods kitchen drawers sorted. I now have one kitchen drawer and one greatly culled odds and sods drawer! I still have a couple of 'should I keep or should I throw items which I have no clue as to their purpose but inevitably if I throw them I will realize I needed them at some point......maybe!
Another NSD for me today. I should venture to the park but don't feel like it now. Having a roast later with one of the M and S 3 for 10 pound chickens.
I have gone over budget on the food shopping by quite a bit but I'm not too bothered as things have gone in the freezer and I have stocked up on a lot of stuff so really it is shopping for the coming weeks.

    Glad Doggie is ok Minnie.

    Yay! :j :j :j

Hello gien. You'll love it on here :)

Hiya iaitm I will definately try the mini challenge. Will probably have to be a challenge were I don't go too far over the £19 odd though. Maybe a £10 limit. Hope you're feeling okay with the partner decision too :grouphug: (another one of those dodgy hugs here)

Can I ask what you make with your fabric spiral. Sorry if you've already said, my memory is very......................oh sorry were was I, ah that's it, short term :) I did have a sewing machine many moons ago but it was stuck in my bedroom more than was used so I sold it :( I love anything to do with craft activities though.

minnie2 so pleased on the good news about your dog. I bet you're relieved!

Think I might have a little knit tonight whilst relaxing. Can't believe it's blimming Monday tomorrow already!

minnie I know how it feels. Our little JR has trouble with her back leg at times and can all but sit and rest it. But the vet has checked her out and can't find anything wrong, touch wood, could just be a weak spot and when she's jumping off the furniture and running round like a bat out of hell she must just pull it or something. It's only happened about 4 times and lasts about two days but blimey when she gets it I feel constantly sick with worry. What we like eh? :)

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

well i am paranoid about cancer - lost a very dear dog to it and all my family!! one of my other dogs has cysts and when they came up i was panicked - turned out they are just cysts and i have not had them removed!! but she is a mastiff who is already 6years old so max of 4yrs left. the other i think he must have hit himself on the nose with his big bone. but i panicked as usual!!! came up yesterday - gone today!!!

Thanks for the Lovely welcome. As it's Sunday all the shops are closed and we didn't go swimming (colds and coughs here) so a NSD.

Yesterday DH needed a hippy outfit for a party so we tie dyed a t-shirt. First time I've done it and it was really succesful. I have dome very tired old tops and kids Ts which I think I'll perk up with a bit of tie dye and get some more wear out of.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Well I've just made some bread using Hugh's recipe which was posted. The dough was very wet but he said try not to add more flour, well I had to add a little bit to be able to work with it but I din't add anymore. I hope it turns out ok. I made it by hand even though I have a breadmaker lurking as I've never been that keen on the end result. Not sure if I'm going to keep it but will give it another whirl to decide first.

    :THi eveyone,

Can I please join? I'm trying to cut waste, use what I have in the cupboards and reduce costs in order to save for a home of my own. Up until now I've been lurking but I think what you're all doing is brilliant - it's inspirational. I'm sick of living above my means and wating money on stuff I don't need, and really want to knuckle down to frugal living this year. I've dabbled in the past and do get a lot of toiletries/vitamins/foodstuffs from Home Bargains (18 x toilet rolls for £3.49!!!) and Bargain Madness.

I had downloaded the bugeting spredsheet, but my computer decided to play a little trick on me and delete my user profile spreadsheet and all - don't cha just love microsoft windows! Have trawled through the previous entries but can't find the link to the template. Can anyone help me please?

I've just bought a slow cooker and have made sausage cassoulet, lamb tagine, chicken casserole and quorn chilli in it so far. I was going to go out to Mr As today, but realised that I had stuff in and made the chilli and some spiced parsnip soup (with a bag of parsnips I got at Aldi last week for 50p). I know if I'd have gone I would have spent more than I intended on superfluous items. I think that joining this thread will help me to much more conscious of what and how often I spend.
