Marchi'm sure this has been asked a hundred times before but to the rest.com vouchers have an expiry date and are they just sent via email then print them off.we're not going to the end august but with 60percent off i think it might be worth getting some now.
No they now don't expire so the ones I bought and paid for in 2009 are still good to use as I didn't use them when we went that year.
You can log into your account at Restaurant.com and print your vouchers from there.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

If you aren't going until August may be an idea to wait for the 80% off codes later in the month to buy what you can...then if there are others you want that sell out before the 80% off codes are out, you can buy them earlier in a future month.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
JuneI've booked now my vegas hotel (was gonna be 2 nights Golden Nugget and 5 nights Tropicana), emailed the guests manager at the Trop, to cut a long story short, for 5th june to 10th, i got her down to $48.99 per night, no resort fee and 2 free show tickets which i thought was pretty dam good!
But my dad offered to pay for the hotel as its a wedding present, so i just booked with Netflights.com for the whole week (cost £327 for 3rd june to 10th) , not sure the guest manager at the Trop is gonna give me perks now that i booked through a broker instead of her!
Oh well, Tropicana here i come!(and Shalimar wedding chapel for my ball and chain event

MayNo they won't honour the deal unless you book direct.
Don't tell your Dad !!!!! He could have prepaid the hotel direct with a creditcard.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

MayI very much agree with this. Me and DH stayed there on our 3rd trip to Vegas, and found it very clean and comfortable. We rated it a lot better than the Riveria, the rooms there were rather dark and depressing and smelt of cigar smoke (even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room).
This illustrates the varying room standard issue.
I booked the Riv with priceline for around $50 and got upgraded to a massive one bedroom suite with balcony on arrival (Never stayed or gambled there before !) barely gambled there at all and got offered a comp stay with food credit when I enquired later in the year so went back and got a lovely newly renovated bright and airy room.
We've not talked about comps for a while.
Like most people I always assumed comps were for high rollers and it really isn't the case. Always sign up for player cards even if you gamble minimally and if you want to go back email the hotel and ASK. (Doesn't even need to be the same hotel -can be others in the group-I've had rooms at Gold Coast, Rio and Ceasars and never paid to stay there -just in their sister hotels)
I have a friend who gambles maybe $20 a day but buys several show tickets for the Harrah's group shows -she doesn't get comps but if she plugs in her player card she always gets cheaper deals than when she checks the site without it logged in.
I've had comps at the Orleans and Gold coast, Flamingo, Riviera Rio and Ceasars Palace. In fact I had 2 nights booked at Ceasars for this coming May (Forum room) and the availability showed no comps for the 3rd night there so I called them to add the Flamingo for the last night-and they added the 3rd night for free at Ceasars even though the availability chart showed that night at $200 with my card-more without.
Hotels in Vegas are still struggling for business and want you at THEIR hotel (and by extension casino) asking will often get you some nights if not all free or discounted below deal offers and sometimes room credit too. Costs nothing to ask. Dig out those player cards and send some emails !!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

January / FebruaryWe are going to vegas on the 24th till the 28th Jan Mon - Fri 4 nights staying in the venetian can anyone tell me the dress code and any dress rules for any other hotels/casinos also any tips you can give me would be great as this will prob be our only visit to vegas as it is a wedding anniversary gift and we prob wont be able to afford it again also what is the best to take dollars or travellers cheques or 50 50
thanks for all your help0 -
MayThere's no dress code except at the fancier restarants. You'll see everything from jeans to smart -in summer when it's hot it's even more casual.
Don't take more in cash than your insurance will cover (usually a few hundred at best) take the rest in TCs (if you can get them they are gradually getting phased out) which can be cashed at any casino cashier or put your money on a dollar pre-paid card-available at anywhere you'd normally buy your currency...Post Office, Thomas Cook etc
Without knowing what you like to do -the best tip is read the FAQ on page 1 then have a browse through the 2010 Vegas thread.
What do you want to do? Visit the Grand Canyon? Gamble? See shows ? etcI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

MarchInteresting few threads on Circus Circus. The first or 2nd time we went to Vegas, we walked up to CC, and it was the one and only time I didn't feel 100% safe. It was about 9pm. A lot of the street was very poorly lit, although I should say that this was years ago and the street lighting may have been improved. There wasn't that many people around (at least for our liking). We got a cab back down the strip. I can't remember what day of the week it was....
A few trips later, we decided to cab up to there as it couldn't be as bad as we remembered, and we knew there was a half price tickets place there. I got the tickets I wanted that day, and I'm sure a Krispy Kreme donut, but the hotel was as crappy as I had remembered.
I can honestly say that we won't set a foot in there again, and wouldn't stay there even if they offered us a free room. I'd be miserable the whole time. I'd rather be at BallysLove MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0
