MarchMGM Grand’s lion habitat to close 31 January
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/dec/28/mgm-grands-lion-habitat-close-jan-31/:(:(
I had heard from a friend that it was due to close sometimes soon but hadn't seen formal confirmation of when...just over 2 weeks before we arrive...I would have liked to have gone to see them one more time.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Flying out to Vegas tomorrow, super excited!!0

November / Decembersitting in terminal now, on way home...just upgraded to prem economy with virgin, which will be worth it i am sure.
did six days vegas and two days in Flagstaff for GC - wish we had done three there though, so we could see Sedona etc
It is freezing there right now, did not quite expect snow!
|Jersey Boys is a must see I think, in Vegas itself.
This LV terminal is truly awful though!0 -
Marchthe international terminal is pretty dire, I agree...the domestic terminal is a lot better. Have a safe flight home.
And this is pretty off-topic...but any fans of Star Wars Droid Wars or Sex and the City slots, they have 4 of each at the new Aspers Casino at Westfield Stratford....the SatC is the original one, but one game instead of 4, £0.50 / £1 / £2 stake options. Had loads of fun on it.
Quite a few other Vegas-style machines...and a nice place overall, we thought. Could actually have left up after about 2 hours of play, but stayed an hour too long.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MarchThanks Ferf....guess what I found, credit goes to a poster on Tripadvisor, but this site has all the Vegas favourites

Da daaahhhhh Wizard Of OZ, Goldfish, HotHot Penny, Super Jackpot Party, Invaders from the Planet Moolah, and tons more.:j:j:j:j:j:j:T
Play for free.
First you have to register your details, name, address, mobile D.O.B.....DO NOT put your credit/debit card details in....no need and less temptation to gamble real money which I'd personally wouldn't do.
Then log out, then log back in and select FUN MONEY rather than REAL MONEY ....then select which games you wish to play.....enjoy.
Lets just say, Glinda has been to visit, I've been moo'ed at and them fishes have been smiling at me.:rotfl:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Wow! That's by far the best online slot site ever for 'real' Vegas games...awesome. Thank you!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Julyhi everyone
which websites do people find best for putting together packages... interested to see how much it would be to do LGW - LAS - HNL - LAS - LGW... a few days in LAS, a week in HNL, a few days in LAS then home!
trying to find a website which will allow you to do that all in one go? or is it better to just do a Virgin package?0 -
we are in such a predicament!
We originally hoped to honeymoon straight after our wedding in August, but as the flights are approx £500 cheaper to fly in September we are trying to do this.
We are looking at 5th or 6th September for 2 weeks. Flights from Belfast to Heathrow, then BA direct to Vegas are approx £750 per person for a 2 week stay.
The question is do we book flights & book hotel separately like we did last time, or book an expedia package which includes hotel & flights for approx £2500 for the 2 of us with the same flights? Hotels are Monte Carlo, New York, New York, Vdara, Mirage (all basic rooms).
Is realistic to think we could get a strip hotel for 2 weeks for £1000 to£1500. Our last trip we stayed MGM & Encore so we would like something mid strip like PH or Cosmo etc
All opinions appreciated
ps we are 25 & 28
Thanks :-) :beer:0 -
