We looked at detouring for the meteor crater but looked like it would add 2 hours driving or so (one hour the wrong way to Winslow(ish) then back toward Vegas) so decided not to...one day I would like to see it though.

I agree that losing 2 days of a 6 day trip may not be worth it...it was many, many Vegas trips until we finally made it to the GC. :)

Have to admit I think we stayed another night in Flagstaff on way back to Vegas from GC..It was a long time ago.

Meteor crater is worth seeing though even though it is just a big hole in the ground
  • Okay! So I am all booked up for 22nd Jan! We haven't been since September 2008!! I am so excited!

We are staying at PH in a fountain view room, will $20 for a high room/upgrade.

I can't imagine how much has changed since we were last there, City Center was only just being built!

Any brilliant deals/places to visit that are new additions?

    Not City Center:rotfl:
It is a carbuncle on the face of this fair city.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

which sale? Airlines? AA, BA, Virgin all have sales on at the minute.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Unfortunately Vegas is a premium destination, that is why VS and BA send full 744's there every day. There is seldom cheapish fares from the U.K. unless you are prepared to go indirect. And the sales are season specific, the ones on at the moment are for winter flights.

I would say if you have a car visit M resort. Really nice casino, large with lots of machines. The Buffet, $ for $ is the best in town. All of the bars do speciality cocktails at $5 each, what's not to like.
