MayAgree with everyone that the Cosmopolitan premium view room is fantastic.
We could hear the music, but not very loudly. That is why we knew they played "Time To Say Goodbye" solid from 6.30pm till midnight, apart from 7pm when it was "Singing in the Rain".
I agree it might depend on the wind direction, but I can't say I noticed the traffic noise although I think I am oblivious to it now.0 -
JuneFlying with Virgin from Manchester
Just for anyone who's interested I've just got back from Vegas flying from Manchester with Virgin, we flew premium ecomomy and it was great.
I managed to get seats "upstairs" and there was so much room. The cabin did look tired and a bit shabby but it was the best long haul flight I've ever had, although that could have been down to my new travel sick pills and the tranqilisers I had got from the doctors. All in all a thumbs up from me.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -
AugustSorry I wasn't clear. It's two separate things. When you sign up you get an email for 25% off the bill to be used within about a month IIRC.
You also get a separate email in your birthday month for a free dinner worth $47.
If there are just 2 of you it's 6 and 2 3's which you use as the discount is the same.
Not sure of the T&C's of the 25% off, but that would be better if there are more than 2 of you.
Thanks
there will be 5 of us and 2 of us have birthdays in Aug so hoping for 2 free out of the 5
EDIT
Its difficult to find the price of the dinner anywhere, just read one review from last week saying it is $55. maybe that is $47 plus the tax0 -
AugustWestHamDaz wrote: »if the conditions are right you can just about hear it but it is fairly quiet. You have to hope the winds in the right direction and there isnt too much traffic noise and you might get to hear it. Yesterday we watched them and couldnt hear a thing. However, today we could hear it (just)
With regards to paying for the upgrade, I tried asking nicely, started having a nice chat with the girl behind the desk and thought i might be getting somewhere but the receptionist wasnt interested as soon as I enquired about the view rooms, she went straight into sales pitch mode and it was that or nothing.
Thanks
I am going to try for a floor a bit lower maybe around 18 to 20, will still have the view and then hopefully be able to hear them as well.
I could hear the fountains from the 18th floor in PH with the widows closed (maybe the PH is a bit closer)0 -
Hi, has anyone one had the experience of trying to book a group trip to Vegas? I am trying to get prices on approx 30 people to fly direct from any UK airport on May 2nd 2012 for 5 nights, and to preferably stay at Planet Hollywood or NYNY. I thought i may be able to strike a good deal somewhere for a group booking such as this but the best price on flights alone is £684 so far. When i went 2 years ago i paid £540 for flights and a stay at the Luxor for 7 nights! Any ideas or tips greatly appreciated, thanks.0

Hi
I have just booked flights and hotels for a dozen people as we are getting married on April 5th 2012. US Airways will give all passengers the cheapest flight cost if you have more than 10 making the same return journey...this should mean you can book with them from £561 I Think at the moment.
Hotels will also give you a discount booking, although only small but they will help with booking events, tables etc etc.. Weve used Total Experiences via Ballys webpage and booked hotel rooms which will be on the same floor. They give you a sign in code so you can leave actually booking the rooms until the week before, they basically pre book a block of rooms dependent on your numbers.
Feel free to check out my webpage

Ive also booked a wraparound suite at the cosmo for my mrs and me for a few nights, expensive but it will be a real surprise for her as we were looking a a premium view room and I thought what the hell, this way we can have a small reception in our room after the wedding too!!!
Cant wait, does anybody yet have an idea of how high you need to go in the cosm before you get a fully unobstructed view of the Bellagio lake without the Bellagio sign building being in the way???0 -
Thanks

We were dead centre in the West Tower on the 29th floor (the room right in front of the elevator) and the main issue we had was with noise from the Bellagio car park - there was a loose metal thing in the road that every car hit which we could hear very clearly. We could hear the fountains too, when the wind was right. I guess the closer you get to the ground, the more traffic noise you'll hear.0 -
