Marchexcellent wins stoneman! That's awesome - so excited for you and Tracy!
gracie & mumto2loves - have great trips - and I hope you'll come back to tell us all about it when you're back.
And Stuie - not long to go now!
and rorylando45...gosh - so many leaving shortly...really looking forward to a steady stream of trip reports (big or small) when you guys are back...they do keep many of us going during the non-Vegas months!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
OctoberBrilliant hope Mrs Stoneman had enough time to take you shopping the next morning!!!
PS... Could you send some luck my way please as I feel like I must have a go on Wolf Run now!

I didn't think the house had any edge in poker...not an edge as such...I thought they just took a rake of the pot? Do you actually play against the casino - I thought you played against other players? Am I just confused?

MarchWolf Run is a feast or famine machine I think...I've had some good wins (not as good as Mrs Stoneman) but it can be a terrible hoover...I do still like it though.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

She must have had a premonition, bought some Valentino Wedges at Nordstroms on the first day we were there:eek:Great win Stoneman. Lucky it was the final night otherwise it would all have been re-invested in footwear.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Yes you have to get a run of stacked wilds starting to the left, then the baby will give you better wins than most machines. But it seems to have a really fast reel, so games are quite fast.Wolf Run is a feast or famine machine I think...I've had some good wins (not as good as Mrs Stoneman) but it can be a terrible hoover...I do still like it though. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. November / DecemberI've never won a penny on Wolf Run. It just doesn't like me. I'm a bit off the penny slots at the moment. I'm getting nowhere fast. Spin poker is my friend at the moment.
Currently getting a bit of sun at the pool. It's not too hot for me today.
I wish everyone coming to the Vegas soon good luck. I'm sure you will love it.0 -

I learnt how to play at the free lessons in the Flamingo. You only really need to know one bet, "the pass line", on a £10 table that will cost you $10, you would win even money if the shooter throws a 7 or 11 on the first roll, and loss if they throw a 2,3, or 12. After the first roll (the come out) you win when they hit the "point" number (the one they threw on the come out), and lose if they roll a 7. Easy as that. You then graduate to adding other bets to the mix so that you are not waiting just for the point to be rolled. I usually have $10 pass line, $20-$30 odds, $24 on the 6 and $24 on the 8, $5 on the 11 "the yo" and $5 on one of the "hard ways"(4,6,8,10).WestHamDaz wrote: »Nice wins Stoneman, keep wanting to get into craps but never spent the time to look into it. The only time we dabbled was in Ellis Island where it was empty and we had the dealer explain the basics, but let my missus throw the dice who has little hand/eye co-ordinationand three times launched the dice across the casino floor. I gave up after that.
What were the min bet for you to win over $3k (if you dont mind me asking)??
Weather seems all over the place this year. When we were there around this time last year it was 105-110 during the day and only dropped down to 100 in the evenings. Its got 3 weeks to sort itself out unti lwe get there!
So normally I have $100 on the table, and you can lose all of that with one throw of the dice. The last night though the shooters were so hot that I was pressing my bets so I had about $300 on the table, and winning something with almost every roll of the dice. I saw a couple of guys cash out in excess of $20,000 each. I tell you if he had rolled for 8 hours I would still have been there.
Oh and don't worry about rolling the dice, just say you want to pass them on to the next person, that's what I do. I am so unlucky that I haven't rolled a dice for about 2 years. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot.
