i'm sure if you did get the deal though and didn't want to go to see Zumanity, that Froggit would buy the tickets off you ;)
That deal is $100 a night including Zumanity, and $150 a night without......go for the without option unless its sold out......

Had a nice meet with duchy last night. It was great to put a face to the name.

Went to Texas de Brazil at Town Square last night which is a Brazillian steakhouse. You have a disc at your table which you turn to green if you want meat and red if you don't. The gauchos keep coming round with different cuts of meat from filet mignon to pork and chicken.

Huge salad bar and they just kept coming with the meats. Not really worth it for me at full price as I don't eat enough, but they sent me a certificate for a free meal for my birthday.

    Hi,
here is photo from last Friday buffet at Flamingo.
Have couple more to add later. Just to say, the cakes were phenomenal. There were 4 other counters this size with other sorts of cakes(cheesecakes, chocolate truffle cakes, pies, profiterols). Also there was person making crepes, ice cream machine, chocolate fountain..aaahh want to go back!

Thanks for the pics Misa, I dont think many (if any) on here recomend the Flamingo buffet, but I think it is good, we usually have a buffet there every trip

I think you just need to sign up for their email / newsletter thingy. We've used one of the free birthday meal vouchers in their Orlando restaurant obtained in this way before, I would assume it's the same for Vegas. You should get an email through maybe a week or so before your birthday date.

I guess they want you to go with all your friends / family but as there were only the two of us eating when we went it basically worked out as BOGOF :T

Wondered if that might be the case, I have just signed up. You get a 25% off voucher when you join for up to 8 people, but its only valid for a month.

I will get my dad to sign up a month before we go and then we will have a 25% off voucher or possibly 2 free meals if we both get a birthday voucher (our birthdays are on consecutive days)

My question is - is it worth buying the travelzoo offers etc for resturants or best just to see where you fancy eating once you are out there?

I think, especially if it is your first time, that it's not really worth loading up on pre-booked meal sort of things - unless there is some significant importance on keeping costs down...I think if a couple of things look good and are good value then they can be worth it - but more than that, you'll either feel tied into using them, or not use them and feel you've wasted your money.

Portion sizes are big, so chances are you will only eat 2 meals a day - for many it's breakfast and dinner...and sometimes breakfast may just be a pastry and a coffee, and dinner may be a sandwich somewhere...you just really don't know when you'll be hungry and for what...and where you will be at the time.

Vegas is a weird place - plans go out the window quite often...many people will say that they didn't do 1/2 of what they planned to, but did a lot of other stuff instead...part of the fun of Vegas is discovering things along the way.

But the vouchers can be a good way to try things you might not otherwise have tried...just don't go overboard with them. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thank you SOOOOO much for this link - I've just been able to find out that Soundgarden are playing at Hard Rock when we're in Vegas to get married (and 2 days after my birthday)...cannot convey my joy at finding this out (this is like 20 years of teenage adulation here!!!!!) :T:T:T
Just got an email to say tickets are on sale (I'm on The Joint's mailing list).

er...actually reading the email - Saturday at noon...the subject was:

The Joint Concert Calendar & Soundgarden On Sale. :)
