AugustI'm contemplating finally trying the buffet of buffets next month as for once I'll actually have some proper down time in Vegas (after the marathon event in Idaho). One of my friends swears the Flamingo buffet has improved -anyone tried it recently (within the last nine months). I'm thinking breakfast Paris, lunch Rio (planning on been at the Palms in the afternoon so that works), dinner PH and breakfast Flamingo (and then not eating again for 24 hours LOL).
Staying at Ceasars so the Flamingo would be nice for a hop across the road-and Paris is always worth the walk for breakfast and I'd go early to try and beat the queues anyway ! $44 with TR atm .Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks for quoting his post from another part of the forum as that was the reason I replied as I did. Oracle indeed.0 -

We did this last May when it had only been going for 3 weeks and was actually worth doing before they put up the price. Actually they had put the price up within 2 weeks of it starting.
I think it was Lesley1974 who went to the Flamingo in September and wasn't impressed. Last time we tried it was for a champagne brunch a few years ago as it was one of the better priced ones, but I swore after that that I wouldn't go back as there is far better to be had for a few dollars more.
We only did it as it worked for us over a couple of days. We had a late dinner at Paris, breakfast at PH and an afternoon snack at Harrah's. We were intending having an early dinner at PH, but I wasn't well that night so we didn't bother
I personally don't rate the Paris buffet and feel it has gone downhill for the great buffet it was a few years ago. Lesley really liked the Rio buffet and went a couple of times.0 -
Marchon the buffet of buffets, every time we talk about possibly doing it, for some unexplained reason, my hubby is obsessed with the idea of visitng the Caesars buffet for coffee and desserts at some point during the 24 hours.
We did miss a trick when we had a $50 food credit at PH...should have used it to buy one BoB and pay for the 2nd one...that would have been the perfect time to give it a try.
It's been several years but we really liked the Rio buffet last time we tried it.
I think the other thing on the BoB is the potential to spend a lot of time in queues...not so much an issue if someone is there for a good number of days and not fussed about queing a lot...or OK to go at the slower times - which probably suits a lot of us in the early days of our trips when we haven't yet adjusted to Vegas time.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Has the troll deleted all his posts or only those on this thread. I only saw his first post this morning and replied to it, just got in from work and looks like I missed all his other pearls of wisdom, i guess he has crawled back under the stone where he came form0 -

Now that may have been posted tongue in cheek (or not as the case may be), but to come on here and spout mis-information that newbies might take as gospel was not on.0 -
