    Hi everyone,

I’m just after a bit of advice. We’re heading back to Vegas in September for the fourth time when we're going to get married, and various family and friends will be joining us out there for a week or so.

Unfortunately, my parents aren’t exactly thrilled at the prospect of heading back to Vegas having stayed in the Stratosphere for a couple of nights a few years ago whilst on an organised tour of California, Nevada and Arizona.

Anyway, I’ve been doing my best to gee them up a bit by explaining that they probably weren’t aware of a lot of the things that would have appealed to them and obviously they weren’t staying in a prime location or in one of the best hotels.

So, a change of hotel aside (I think they’re leaning towards Encore), bearing in mind my parents are in their early sixties, do any of you have any suitable recommendations for more tranquil, easy going things to do?

I’ve already suggested the botanical gardens in the Bellagio, the dolphins and tigers at the Mirage and I’m going to arrange a couple of shows for them to see (probably a Cirque show and Celine Dion), but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

I am sorry to ask this question!

Ok I am going to LV on 27th April - do I need to don anything before I go?

I mean in the way of visas or the like etc...

I have everything in place tickets, insurance all the usual stuff. But do I need to do anything else to travel to the USA?

Sorry such a dim question :o

Yes, sorry, I didn't see nvh's reply 2 minutes later so have deleted this part.

If you are an EU citizen (inc British) you will need to apply for an ESTA, you need to go on the US embassy website and apply, it will cost $14 and you must have this authority to travel. You will also need to supply the advanced passenger information to your carrier for each passenger otherwise you won't be able to check in at this end.

Each passport holder must have their own ESTA

Can't remember how much you paid eventually, but the Trop currently has rates from $41 (£25) or $43 including free show tickets.

Not from the 3rd June to 10th June they dont!!!

I'm gonna try a little charm again with the manageress of the Trop and see if i can get away with upgrading my room through her to a Paradise suite for an additional $100 Total......
Most likely answer will be 'Get real!' followed by No!
But, doesnt hurt to ask! :):)

    Hi Guys,

First of all thanks for this wonderful resource, i have been a 'lurker' on here for a while without taking the time to sign up.

Well i have took the plunge and booked for the end of november/start of december.

2 week stay in the Riv.

Only paid £610 each for 2 of us for the two weeks so i am delighted with the deal i got.

I'll keep an eye out on here.

    Regards,

    Liam

I assume that is a package deal including flights and accom, def a good price although the Riv has been offering free rooms of late.

IMO 2 weeks at the Riv is to long. Its a long way from everything else epecially with Sahara closing down. If you can I would swop hotels after a week (or less) to somewhere more central

People who have booked with Low Cost USA/City and Show - I paid off the balance of my booking a couple of weeks ago and was just looking at the receipt thingie. They've got on it that I'll get an "accommodation voucher" two weeks before our stay.

What's an accommodation voucher?? I've not come across it before in booking through Expedia.

The title of the email was Travel Documents, the same as the confirmation, and it stated the dates of stay, your name and the name of the company that would be paying for the stay.

Check the T&C's on the website as it should tell you what to do if your voucher doesn't arrive.
