Thats what puts me off (and the location) That turns $82 in to something like $115 I think (doesnt it)

It sure does, it works out $110 when it $82, we dont really let resort fees put us off places... well more to the point we cant seen as just about everywhere we look at has them haha :)

We love it as we treat it as a sunning holiday as well so we like that we have the choice of the MGM and Sig pools the walking doesnt bother us at all (means I can eat what I want :) ) but I get why some wouldnt like it.

Hmmm just checked my booking conf cos you just made me think it should work out at $115 but it says $110 so who knows!

    It's not Disneyland.

My OH doesn't gamble at all. We try to go twice a year for as long as possible. We will be there for FOUR months in 2011.

There is more to Las Vegas than the gambling.
phew at least i'm not the only wierdo going all the way to vegas not to gamble!:D

Trets you know by now that no one reads the first page:mad:, despite all your effort. It is still the best guide to Vegas newcomers on the net.:T

I PROMISE i have read the 1st page, and skimmed the whole of the 2010 vegas thread as well, It was probably mainly the guide bits that got me started on getting excited about going. (before that i was a bit, eh? vegas? why?) It was your bits about the rides which made me think to look on you tube i wouldn't have even thought about that otherwise.

Stoneman - If that had happened to me, I would have been banned from flying because I would have gone mental on Mr Spew:o

On the subject of restaurant.com vouchers, when they say they will only accept one voucher per month, is it one voucher per calendar month or 1 voucher every 28/31 days? We are going on the 28th Sept till 5th Oct. Could we get away with using 2 vouchers? IYSWIM

This isn't to do with Las Vegas, but I thought it was a waste of a new topic. Does anyone know if it's good to sit behind the exit row? I tried looking on seat guru to see if it was better, incase the exit seat had a limited recline, but I can't seem to find anything, and our flight automatically put us in the row behind so I'm trying to decide whether to leave it or not.

We always chose the row behind the exit row when we flew with BMI as I'm one of those odd people who doesn't like the exit row. That row is the same seat pitch as the rest, but because there is only one row of seats in front of you it doesn't feel so closed in.

I'd stay at The Palazzo - It's my favourite hotel room I've seen on The Strip.

The Palazzo is newer but the rooms are very similar so I would go purely on price. I am currently staying in the luxor in a pyramid spa suite and love it. It's not as plush as the top end hotels sure, buts nowhere near as exensuve either !

One tip for anyone who likes the Luxor/Excalibur/ 4 queens is that there is a promotion running at the moment where you can stay for 4 nights at any time in the next 18 months for $124. You pay now but it gets refunded when you arrive so it's a free 4 nights !!!

Not the greatest hotels but free is free !!

We have had a great week so far. Saw Snoop dog last Saturday , David Copperfield Sunday and have had bottle service at the two newest clubs. (if you like clubs you have to go to Marquee it's incredible )

A lovely place to eat is Capital Grille in the Fashion Mall. Expensive at night but lunch you can get a French onion soup and steak sandwich for $30. It really is worth it !!
