There's Diablo's down past the Monte Carlo and Tacos and Tequlias at the Luxor. You can usually get T&T on restaurant.com and there's an 80% off code at the moment DINE.

Do you know what either of the above are like ? thanks

Never tried either of them as I don't like Mexican food, but I have read mixed reports of Diablo's, some good, some bad.

I take it from lack of replies that no one has flown on US Airways before? I guess we'll just book it anyway seeing as it's the cheapest & hope for the best , was just after experiences of the aircraft, food, IFE, service etc :)

Flew us airways last year, from LHR (I think) to Phillidelpia. flight there was ok in terms of food and service, although drinks were not free at the time. IFE was non existent, no seat back tvs small screens every 10 rows or so and you had to pay for headphones.
Philli airport was great 3hrs before next flight to vegas which was just a normal packed flight no ife no food hardly any drink service, think easy jet with American Accents.
Way back wow a difference flight to Charlotte was half empty, could spread out although no ife again, but drinks service and food selection was ok.
Charlotte to UK fantastic best flight i have ever been on. Flight was quarter full if that 3-4-3 accross I think meaning we all spread out had a row each, Had IFE seatback although still had to pay for headphones. Food was great and service very attentive. Flying with continental this year and heard mixed reviews before I booked but to me its just a flight so not fussed.

We've done just one internal US airways once as part of a Delta / Airfrance / US Airways 'adventure'

Nowt to shout about but exactly for the reasons Duchy mentioned (internal cattle class) so no TV's or anything like that - i'm sure they dished out some free snacks or drinks - probably drinks - that did suprise us somewhat!

No tv's in ours but it was just a 3-3 seat config.

For a £100 saving, i'd be willing to just go for it :)

    re: Mexicans - we've been a few:

T&T (@Luxor) - been here once for tea, was very quiet and hard for me to properly judge - nothing wrong with the food from what i recall, just very quiet so no real atmosphere - probably not helped by it's setting (you are sat in the big open space within the pyramid so no roof!

El Segundo Sol (@FSM) - only been once for lunch - owned by same people as own Mon Ami Gabi. The place was getting slated when it first opened but as it was on Restaurant.com (and we were going 6 months down the line) decided to risk it. It also seemed somewhat quiet but had options of indoor and outdoor (shaded) seating, and conveniant for the missus to do shopping before / afterwards! Had a good meal here and drinks were good too (even though I just had a bottle of lime beer, was first and last time and I want some more! :D ). Have bought a restaurant.com voucher for our return later this year :)

Diablo's (@Monte Carlo) - we go here every time (always for lunch), never had an issue with the place - good vibe in there, can get good strip seating views, though if you're there for lunch you don't want to be sat in the sun. Staff seem really nice etc. Food there has been great for us :)

Cabo Wabo is on our list of one's to do next - we've done drinks there and as mentioned, seemed a great atmostphere - get a decent live band on and you're laughing! :D I believe Hal Savar's Acoustic Soul are quite regular there so gives us more of a reason to try and get along! :)

    Hey Mooky!!!

Thank you so much for the vote.... we are so happy to have won! Can't wait to get back there again. Damn having to wait till next year! We certainly owe you, whether its a drink in Vegas (If you're there when we are) or anything else lol.

    Thanks again!

    xx

Got hubby and mum to vote for you too. :o Nice to see someone on the board win! I'm tempted by the tour myself. Do you know if they ever offer a sale or money off?

Sorry, I've flown with them once before connecting in Philadeplhia I think. It was very similar to an AA flight we had connecting in Chicago. You pay for drinks from memory and the food is average. To be honest, I don't think there is a great deal of difference in the US carriers. The seats however are more comfortable than the Virgin flight and connecting to another flight is easy peasy..... :)

What are peoples thoughts on the Venetian? I'm considering booking it for the last 3 nights of our trip and looking at £400 with the current offer thats on.....27-30th May.

Just wondering is it worth the extra spends or is over rated?
