I'm sure people will say it's not as authentic a Mexican as it could be, but the service was excellent, the atmosphere was great and the location is awesome... if you can get the right table and sit outside 'on top' of the strip, looking over at the Bellagio fountains, etc.
Wait - is it where Trader Vic's was? OK, just answered my own question and looked at a map...interesting, very interesting. I'm not fussed about it being authentic Mexican (I'm pretty much a TexMex girl anyway)...may have to check it out.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MarchAlso, what is the resort credit, is it just to stay there again or can I use it on food etc?
Daily RESORTCREDIT is valid toward items charged to your room at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore excluding room rate, retail items, casino play, resort fee, gratuities, taxes, Encore Beach Club, Surrender Nightclub, and Garth Brooks tickets.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I missed this. Ellis Island is awesome...it doesn't look that great from the outside (or the inside) but the BBQ is great...and cheap...and so much food.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Ellis Island is a top notch place, love it there. As ferf says it doesnt look much from the outside but the BBQ (and their beer) are both pretty good0

it really was a great meal... we're in LV for the OH's birthday (coincidentally) and that's where she said she wants to go on the day. our waitress was brilliant, there were some items I didn't recognise on the menu and she recommended some stuff which i'd have never tried otherwise. she even brought over a sideplate with some extra meat to go with our nacho starters. yum!
will have a look out for Ellis Island (off the strip, behind Paris/Ballys?) ... didn't venture off the strip last time, might give it a go then!0 -
MayHoliday is coming together nicely
20th may fly AA to LA changing in Chicago. Pick up a mustang for 7 days (or similar but I hope not) 3 nights in LA at the park plaza lodge, not exactly what we'll do in LA so any suggestions pass them on please
Monday morning drive to Vegas and 4 nights in the Oriental while we still have the car....we are thinking of cosmo for the last 3 nights but not decided yet. Just thought some of you may be interested in where your advice is going

:beer::beer::D , can't wait already!
My first question is flights - wow haven't they gone up!! I am currently checking every other day or so, and the best price I have found (on skyscanner.co.uk) is indirect with US Airways. This is coming in at £522 each (a whopping £50 each more than my indirect flights with Delta last year, ouch).
So, has anyone flown with US Airways? What are they like? We really liked Delta last year & would have happily flown with them again, but they are coming up over £100 per person more expensive this time round
Any views appreciated
I take it from lack of replies that no one has flown on US Airways before? I guess we'll just book it anyway seeing as it's the cheapest & hope for the best , was just after experiences of the aircraft, food, IFE, service etc0 -
MayI'm sure *someone* has flown on them
Must say that for whatever reason not many of the regulars here do so a reply might take a couple of days until some irregulars show up.
Not heard anything too dreadful about them in recent years but then really in economy there isn't an awful lot of difference between any of the carriers (with a few notable exceptions)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

You can use the search thread option up toward the top - there are some posts about US Airways from earlier this month on the page below...probably others as well.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows of any other Mexicans on the Strip, as it's one of our favourite cuisines... also after a great BBQ place?
There's Diablo's down past the Monte Carlo and Tacos and Tequlias at the Luxor. You can usually get T&T on restaurant.com and there's an 80% off code at the moment DINE.0
