LA
My tip would be ..dont do it
I have been to LA a few times and always had a car which I think is an almost must have.
Also LA is VAST, you couldnt really scratch the surface in a day, much better to go for a couple of nights on your next trip:D
There are masses of things to do and see in the Vegas vicinity to keep you occupied.
If you do do it I dont know of the best site but I have used southwest airlines before and booked direct on their site
Just to add the traffic in LA is always bad and it can take an hour or so just to get a few miles from the airport
EDIT
Is there anything specific you want to see in LA0 -
November / DecemberHas anyone on here done the flightlines experience. I am tempted everytime we go but than put off by the cost of $149 each
Theres a coupon here for some discount

Agree with photome - you really will see very little of LA in a day, especially when you consider you'll have maybe a couple of hours in an airport to take off that, and getting to and from. You'd land at LAX then have to get to whatever you want to see without a car, and LA's public transport is far from amazing. I'm not the biggest fan of the city in general but there's definately more to see than you can do justice to in a few hours.
Southwest are probably the cheapest airline and even that would probably cost you $150-$200 each return depending on the day you're flying...just not worth it IMO.
Depending on whether you've booked your main transatlantic flights, you could consider flying into or out of LAX and doing a couple of days there at the beginning or end of your trip instead, either just booking a one way flight or driving there from Vegas.0 -
AprilHiya
Is it that Bad? We are in LV for 8 days and thought it would be a good day out. On Kayak the flights are £93 pp return
Guess in LA would want to see Hollywood Hills, Rodeo Drive, Walk of fame. Thought i could could just do one of those city tours (which i would pre-book)which would cover it all.
I have drove in Florida, but refused the car with Virgin in LV as dont really need it. But wouldnt fancy driving to LA anyway.
Its unlikely we are gonna do LV again anytime soon as have the kids....but then i did say that before our last trip in 2008

Thankyou for the help! Currently on 92 votes, but theyre closing in fast behind us.
1 day to go, going to be a close one!
Cheers in advance to anyone else that helps0 -
Theres a coyote ugly bar?
THANK YOU.
I went to one in Prague and it was one of the best nights of my life. Hopefully the LV will live up to it as well.
And yes, we are not planning on staying in the hotel but it's been 2 years since last holiday so I guess I want somewhere decent to stay.
don't bother with the one in NYNY . made a bad mistake going in there on my own for a beer.
Flamingo should suit needs . ask Stoneman about the European pool ( and it's female clientele )Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Consider flying into one of the other LA airports like LongBeach and ...oh heck forgotten what the other one is that Jetblue use...help me out someone !! Both are TINY and you can be out of the airport within 5 minutes of landing and picking up a rental car . Jetblue are nice to fly with too.
We only spent a day in LA itself after Vegas (we did however do Disney ) and basically parked up by the Chinese Theatre and did the Homes of the stars open top tour which was great as it took you trough a lot of the "sights" areas enroute . Really though on an 8 day trip I wouldn't bother for a day either.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
