I was also going to add how BAD the Virgin 747 is, take a cushion to put on the seat unless you want to be numb after the first hour.
I am going BA this year for the first time and they are advertising the IFE as the up to date pick your own movie type so at least that part should be better than Virgin.
Trets I seem to recall you hiring a durango a while back, I am thinking of one this year with 7 seats for 5 of us. Is there loads of room for 5 people plus 5 cases and all hand luggage. Was it from Dollar at LAS.
thanks
i remember it being huge . it was way too big for just the 2 of us , easily fit 5 in . also the engine really sounded off when you pushed hard on the gas and got in it to change down , pretty good fun .
will it fit five suitcases? , well i cannot be sure . we never put a suitcase in ( we hired from the Mirage ) , but i do remember sticking a shopping bag of shoes in the back , and feeling faintly silly for putting such a tiny bag in such a big space .
hope this helps .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
SeptemberWe have booked the direct flight with BA for our honeymoon in September so would be interested to know aswell. No hotel booked yet, probably still too earlr for the best bargains but I am getting excited looking!0

MarchHi
Hope you dont mind me posting on this thread. Im planning my first trip to vegas to get married in Nov this year but having real trouble choosing between hotels. Am stuck at the minute between Planet Hollywood and the Mirage. Was considering cosmopolitan to although im sure not many will have stayed there yet. Does anyone has experience of these hotels or can recommend a good one. As its my first trip im determined to get it right as my recent holiday this year was a disaster!
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Agree with the other reply. All of those choice would be good. I personally would opt for PH or Cosmo as I love being around the Bellagio fountains, but all 3 are in good locations. Ironically though, I've yet to stay in any of those 3 :rotfl:
How long are you there? We often split our trip between 2 hotels. It's not for everyone as it means packing up again, but moving is very easy. Gives you a chance to spend time in 2 locations and the chance to try out 2 hotels. Maybe splurge on the last 3 nights somewhere.....miketurtle81 wrote: »Hi all,

What is the best method of accommodation for the 3 of us? (3 men aged 20-30)
Do hotels on the strip cater for 3-bed rooms?
Cheers guys
Most hotels will charge a supplement for more than 2 adults staying in a room, so it'll probably cheaper to book 2 rooms.HI guys, we are flying with AA from Vegas via Chicago..Hope it's not too bad choice?
I've connected in Chicago with AA. The airport was very organised, unlike Philadelphia which was a zoo. It was easy to collect luggage and move through to your connection. Food choices were pretty average. Believe we ate at a Sbarro (pizza) before getting on the next plane. Would happily connect there again.Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -

thing about the Mirage is that it was built in the 80's . they may have done up the rooms since our last stay , but the Bathrooms will still be small .
you didn't get the WOW factor in your room when we stayed , and like i said the bathroom is small . but comfort wise it was perfectly fine , the small bathroom wasn't a problem , great location , and the Mirage as a whole is great hotel/ casino . we would stay there again if the price was right .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

I would advise anyone to stay at the Mirage but make sure you get a King Tower Deluxe room, where the bathrooms are really quite spacious, 2 sinks, bath, separate shower etc. Have stayed there 5 times and will always go back, location, cost of eating, comps etc. You will easily get upgraded with the $10 trick on check-in.0 -
Arent they four across the middle?
The layout for all TEN Virgin Atlantic planes that have flown the LGW-LAs route in the last few months is 3-4-3 in cattle class with the last 6 rows being 2-4-2 and last 2 rows 0-4-0.
No single plane has flown more than 1 in 5 of each return flight so all talk of "the virgin plane" on that route is pretty worthless.0 -

You can almost gtee you will get a 2 queen room (but you may just get a one king bed room) and then you could add a rollaway for the 3rd person by asking housekeeping which would avoid the 3rd person charge. (Lots of people do it) Or you could just share beds, I guess that isnt an option though.
I am not aware of any hotels with 3 beds in the room in Vegas0 -

I love Virgin but of course I would lol
Del
...but did you love them this time last year Del?
Start dishing out the deals and many more here will recommend them!
As others have said, there are far too many "undesirables" on the Virgin flights to Vegas. Easy to spot/smell, harder to avoid.0 -
November / DecemberThanks for all the replies. Just booked the Mirage for a week so hope I've gone for the best option. Chose it in the end based on location really (and pics of the pool!). This will probably sound like a stupid question to all those regular vegas goers but what exactly is a resort fee? do you pay this everyday?0
