SeptemberHi everyone.
Been to Vegas before and heading out for our 7th trip this year.
We usually play at MGM casinos and after reading a thread on here the other night decided to log into my players club account.
Im being offered comped rooms at NYNY and Mandalay Bay and these have to be use before July.
Im not out there until September for a wedding and wondered if anyone knows whether other offers/comps will become available throughout the year?
Im suprised how good the casino rates are for rooms too, i just cant beleive ive never bothered to look before weve been before.
Any regular travellers have any ideas if the players club are likely to offer me comped rooms later in the year?
My current tier will expire in May.0 -

Do you know of anyone going out before then? give them your players card and get them to put it in a machine and run a couple of dollars through it, that should retain your vaildity?0 -
MayTry Quickrooms for the Cosmopolitan. Similar prices to the Tiger Hotels site, but have been around for ages. You can also get cashback with Topcashback or Quidco.0

I got married in Vegas in November 2009. It wasn't due to any desire for Vegas, really because my wife was from NZ, her visa was expiring, we wanted to get married but her NZ divorce (messy laws there) didn't give enough time for it to be done in the UK.
Despite extensive research (or so I thought), I messed up badly, booked circus circus (yeah, I know....), but worst mistake was booking as much in the UK before I got there - car hire, hotel at the Grand Canyon, Wedding, Wedding reception, suits, hair/make up for wife etc.
Only to find that when I got there, had I done nothing, it would actually have been very, very easy to organise anyway when there.
Oh, and if you go to the Grand Canyon and stay in the Holiday Inn, don't include breakfast. If you do, I personally guarantee you've never had worse.0 -

Thanks, never heard of them either though.
Just checked my dates for Aug and the only room type they dont show is the one I want, the terrace studio premium view..typical.
As a comparison though the terrace one bed premium view is £305 on quickrooms and £364 on cityandshow0 -
Planning 12 days in Vegas in November for my wedding which sadly go over 2 weekends.
Hotels are a bit of a nightmare to choose from, but the wife-to-be and I want to try a couple of different hotels so we're planning to stay no more than 3 days in any one hotel.
Which hotels would you choose from the following, assuming you are booking their cheapest rooms. (The wedding nights are sorted - Venetian)
Bally's, Harrah's, Tropicana, Flamingo
and for off-strip:
Orleans, Rio, Palms, Gold Coast
We're out there between 17th November and 29th November, then fly to LA for 2 nights.
Bally's or Flamingo for me
people like Orleans for value .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
Hi thanks for the help
It will be our first time in the usa we have ordered a mustang convertible from hertz for our 3 week hooneymoon we will be driving to Vegas for 4 nights starting 28th march
I have Google maps on my Android phone I was hoping to use that for my sat nav
Dan..
i really must write a set of driving tips in the guide, as i have posted this reply a few times now ..
anyhow main things to remember , you can turn right on a red traffic light if it is clear and safe to do so , and there is no sign telling you cannot ( rare sign but they do have them in Vegas)
also don't forget you can undertake on the freeways ect . and don't break the speed limit less you want a hefty fine .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
OctoberNo need to apologise, I am in full agreement with you. I think we will cancel the booking and rebook through the agent you recommended which is slightly cheaper but doesnt include the breakfast, our friends are staying in a different hotel anyway so prob wouldnt make full use of the breakfast offer.
Like you say, its our wedding so it just isn't worth the risk.
I would also just like to point out that this isn't a negative reflection on the company involved, like Duchy so elequantly put it, we dont want to risk our honeymoon on an unknown element. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
MarchBut they are ABTA registered so you would be covered if anything went wrong. So what is to stop you making a booking with them then ringing the hotel to see if there is a reservation in your name
Thing is that with 3rd parties, the reservation isn't necessarily lodged by name in the hotel's booking system until quite close to your dates...I learned this once years ago - booked through a UK 3rd party and about 2 weeks before called to re-confirm the reservation (it was Excalibur)...no record...but she did say that if I booked through a 3rd party they may not have my name yet...all was fine in the end, but it worried me until about 5 days before and I called again and there we were.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
