    Use ups:
Clarins cleanser, extra comfort - wiba yes. It's pricey about £16. But I now always buy when there is a decent Gift With Purchase offer on. Lasts about 2 months. My skin never flares up with it - unlike pretty much everything else I've tried. On that Lisa Eldridge site - she spoke about how if you have spotty skin and continually use stripping type cleansers (harsh ones) - it can actually make the problem worse. And that little petal was absolutely right - I use this more gentle cleanser and now far less spots, so much better.

Palmolive shower gel, honey and almond or something, wiba no. I used it up as a handwash and cleaned the sink with it. Another palmolive shower gel I bought reacted badly on my skin so I didn't want to risk it with this.

    Found:
:oAn old Body Shop seaweed SPF moisturiser whilst clearing the car out - it looked very old so had to bin it. wiba - yes, already have. Have found using oil free moisturisers like this have also helped in the battle against spots.

So that's another £3 into the bin - bosh! I'm really enjoying have the incentive of putting money into a sealed tin.

I haven't included my mini perfumes - don't want to bombard the list but I've got 17 approx 5ml bottles and 2 cans of Dove Deodrant, and 6 Body Sprays. I had no idea how much stuff I had!!!

This forum - and this thread in particular - is doing me the world of good. I am decluttering, not buying stuff I don't need and in using products up, I'm pampering myself. I feel so happy about all three aspects.
I think many of us are so guilty of buying things to be used at 'special times'.
But every day has the potential to be special - in using something luxurious, we elevate it out of the mundane. We focus upon ourselves in using the product, boost our self-esteem, and if we have been bought the product as a present, it's a little reminder of the love behind that gift.

Many of you will have probably seen an email doing the rounds by the late Erma Bombeck, a wonderful American writer and humorist. She wrote it shortly before her death from cancer, and it is entitled
'If I Had My Life To Live Over Again' and is a list of things she felt she should have done. It starts 'I would have talked less and listened more'.
One of the thoughts is 'I would have burned the pink candle shaped like a rose before it melted in storage.'

I think we all have our 'pink rose candles' - things which we should be using up, but aren't. And then they will go off and be discarded - they will go in to landfill, and damage the environment instead of making us feel good.
I intend burning all my candles, metaphorically, anyway this coming year. I'm going to enjoy the experience.
Love to all you lovely, supportive friendly people. Consider yourself hugged.
    And(rea)
    Amen to that. :A

Big hugs to Rosemary. What is it with men and this time of year. Time to make things a little tougher for him - for him to truly appreciate you xxx Now get pampering (no spending!) and let him see the little minx you are :)

    Hi there!

I've been lurking for quite a while and this thread seems right up my street! I have so many toiletries, i'm running out of space to keep them all :) The situation isn't helped by my good willed family who pass everything that doesn't work well on their skin on to me ( not to complain!)

The other day I used up a Johnson's talcum powder and my first thought was this thread :)

Oohhh I like this challenge! May I join please?!
I'm not sure how long everything will last as I'm certain I will need more Shampoo/conditioner in a month or so but perfume (HG) I have about 9 different ones and makeup sets my sister got 3 Front Covers for me for Christmas so I will be using them as much as possible!
Also recieved some other things for shower/bath.. I will just have to have a bath more often to use the things I prob don't normally use!
My one downfall is Benefit so I will be staying away from that as much as possible :D

I will count up my things as it will help me and then list them all to cross off! Another special money pot for them. £1 for every one used will help ;)

Thanks Mineallmine & Pinkfluffybabe - I had no idea until I started my list just how much I've got, I don't think that i will have to buy anything for quite a few months!
