  • One IN for today, my first in January though so not too bad!

Bought Karma solid shampoo bar from Lush cos I have wanted to try them for ages.
Went into Lush to buy tea tree water but since it now costs nearly £7  for a bottle I think this might be the last time I get it. I could get 7 bottles of basics boots or supermarket toner for that and prob not see much difference in my skin!
Also was going to use a £5 No 7 voucher to get eye make up remover but this has gone up from £6.50 to £7.75 since last time I bought it and its not worth spending the extra money on IMO.
Everyone is out to get my money it seems!
No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
    35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins
  • I have an IN to report - I bought some Radox 2in1 refresh shower gel and shampoo which eucalyptus and citrus oils in it. Will probably just use it as a shower gel - not too sure what it would do to my hair. Has anyone tried using these 2in1s as shampoo? x

My first spend this month. Sainsbury's twinblade razor blades for 70 pence, this is a bargain if they are good. I had completely ran out.

Someone posted on here to say that they are now keeping a record of the amount of money they are spending on toiletries this year. I have started to do the same. Thanks to whoever mentioned on here.

    Have a nice weekend everyone.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

I have, but they are very drying and you need a conditioner to entangle your hair

I checked my stash of showergels, I have 15 bottles under my bed lol:shocked:

  • Lots of things to report in on

    UU's
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush WIBA? Yes, i think the this is my favourite scent out of all their dry shampoos.
S&G The Daily Smooth WIBA? Maybe...i liked it, but i get a bit bored of the scent after a while.
TBS Carrot Moisturiser WIBA? If it was on offer then maybe. I liked it, done it's job and moisturised well, although didn't do anything else for my skin.

    Gave Away
    Lush Pop in the bath
    Lush Snow Fairy 100g

    IN
Uni friends gave me my birthday presents yesterday (birthday's on Wednesday, and i won't see them until next Friday in class)
Lush Out of this world gift set, includes a Space Girl and Rockstar soap!
    Lush Magic Mushroom bubble bar

    Splutters
    Clinique All About Eyes
    Mac Studio Fix Fluid
    Carex Splash Gel

    Hi all

Not been able to catch up for a couple of days, you're a chatty bunch :rotfl:

hope I can remember everything, as I can't use multi quote for some strange reason

Footymadgal - Your post made me laugh about Paramount hotels.... I used to work at the head office there and it must have been bought out 5 years ago, if not longer :rotfl::rotfl:

Roshydoshy - Hope the interview went well, fingers crossed!!

Essex - I can't believe you got all that - i'm not keen on a couple of things from the S &G, might try exchanging them this week.. :T

I've no uu to report for the last few days, although hubby has just said hes ran out of 'Attitude' aftershave - i told him with a straight face he owes a quid in the pot :rotfl::rotfl:

Went to Boots today, but didn't buy any toilettries, got some wrapping paper and a couple of photo frames from the 75% sale.... I did place an order online the other night for the GOK set and a Male Botanics set, but they're both for gifts so dont count.....
Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015
Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

    Hi everyone

Just binned an eye serum as it looked a really strange colour and had obviously gone off -Liz Earle smoothing line serum 10ml. WNBA - Eye creams should be 15ml full size and although it is hydrating and soothing - it does nothing for puffy eyes - if anyone has a HG eye cream/gel/serum for puffy eyes I would love to know especially before hayfever season starts as I wake up each morning with a different monster face!

So far this week have resisted:

Boots 75% off sale. Online not working for me, local store had nothing in so just bought photo album and Christmas Photo baubles. Not going to use No 7 £5 off voucher either. :T

Bought online two Body Shop medium gift sets (Moringa and Shea), Coconut bag and Strawberrry cube set - for birthday gifts and again bought nothing for me and not even tempted! This is thanks to all you lovelies on this thread:D

Feeling :A:A:A at the moment especially after my blip earlier this month on the L'occitane website:o. Sure I can make it to February....
  • Oops.

I had an unfortunate accident today.

3 soaps found their way into my basket in Lush and 8 sale items fell in while I was in Body Shop. I honestly only went into both shops because my god daughter dragged me inside. And in BS I got £80.50 worth of stuff for £13.90. In total I spent £25.10 - a much smaller amount than it would have been a couple of months ago. Plus I don't live near either shop, so as there's no danger of me falling off the wagon again any time soon, I thought I might as well be Really Bad all in one go.:D

I've change my siggy to show the 11  INs.
And have dutifully sat on the naughty step for 42 1/2 minutes. :o

I don't feel despondent or guilty. These weren't unconsidered purchases. I really did think about whether I wanted to buy the items rather than just shoving them in the basket and I chose what I wanted rather than picking up one of everything. I ensured that everything I bought is something I will use and it was a well deserved pampering treat.

    (Anyone convinced??):rotfl:

PS: flabberghasted at how much the soaps have gone up in Lush since the VAT changed  and the girl in the pound shop said that they are soon increasing their prices to £1.29 :p:p!!!
