You could always blame your 'error' on miscalculations in your counting ... :D

I have two of these. Thinking of giving one to my daughter for her to buy a friend's birthday present. How do these work if you want to buy something priced at nearly £5.00?
You don't get any change from them if the cost is under the limit.

I went to check the back of my voucher, just in case, and it says that excludes gift sets, electrical beauty, beauty services and priced reduced lines, so it should be ok for accesories. :j The No7 muslin cloths are under £5 so you would not have to pay a penny either. :D

My voucher comes attached to a £5 eye test that I am thinking of using. I am currently paying £16 a month for my contact lenses by post, they get me with the promise of free eye test and if I have any problem I just go for free.. but tbh I never had any problem and there is always some offer in eye tests every now and then. If I buy the contacts I like online I would pay £120 per year and they are really comfy. I am currently paying £192 a year... so I don't think any eye test is going to cost me £72. And liquids are expensive but not that much, I also have about 4 full bottles since I never use the whole bottle that comes with the contacts. The only problem is that I need an up to date eye test from the last year and I am not sure D&A (boots) would give me mine. :( I wonder if I re-do the test if I could ask for a copy.

    mcculloch29 thanks for that!

Try Vision Direct for lenses - I've found them excellent, and although you have to sign to say you've had an eye test in the past twelve months, you don't actually have to send them a copy of it.

Popped back to Boots this afternoon armed with my unwanted FlakeAway and Glad Hair Day - came away with a tube of Daily Smooth (been wanting to try that) plus a Radox Shea Butter bubble bath and a Palmolive Milk & Honey bath milk.....and 1p change which the SA said she was able to give me! :rotfl: I think she was fairly surprised that I'd managed to get it to within a penny of the exchange value to be honest! Soooo, I have increased the stash by one item, but it didn't cost me a penny (Actually, it EARNT me a penny!) . I am ordering myself a foundation from the Avon book as my HG Foundation is included in the "great foundation swap" deal so I can get it for £4, and I know there isn't a lot of life left in the tube I'm using currently. I will almost certainly order a second on back-order when I do my next order as well. I think it is fair to include this in the essentials category though, and I am certainly not going to find anything cheaper!

i was looking for the muslin cloths in Boots today but couldn't find them. I did pick up some razors for OH and some mobile top ups so could use my £1 points or an Orange topup, £1.5 points for a £15 spend and a double points voucher :) first time i've really made use of the vouchers through the post. I was given a No 7 voucher so may head to Boots when i go to Londinium next weekend and see if i can find them there.

Two ins and two use ups.
Ins: superdrug basic essentials toner - i have none in stock so i will not feel shame in buying it :)
Loreal Feria hair colour - Plum Power only cost 89p or something as i had a £5 voucher for a spend during Jan.

UU: Loreal Feria hair colour - Plum Power WIBA? not sure yet as my hair is still wet so i don't know what colour it has really come out. It has left my hair all silky though. I have discovered that if i'm actually going to bother colouring my hair i must do it the day i get the colour otherwise it goes in a draw and i can never be bothered. £1 in pot
Simple baby talc - would buy again as i use talc a fair bit, still prefer cussons or johnsons though but don't often see that for a pound. £1 in pot
  • I went shopping at Mr T*scos this morning I've spent £67.25 so that's £203.85/£500 (I've updated my signature already), it basically means that so far this month (3 weeks in) we are £96.15 better off !!! (Money that I would've frittered away - which is now going to be paid off the credit card). I've been really generous with my shopping allowance this month - I'm going to drop it next month, I'm not sure by how much just yet! . I am so pleased with myself - I'm actually managing to shop once a week (no top up trips - yet...)

  • I have 3 UU to report - Sanctuary Body Scrub (50ml) WIBA - possibly, but not for a while I've got loads of bits in my stash. Umberto Giannini Straight Shampoo & Conditioner (both 75ml) WIBA no - I found it quite drying on my hair. I actually think that Herbal Essence "Hello Hydration" is better.

    Gave away:

    1 mini l’Occitane Verbena Shampoo
    1 mini l’Occitane Verbena Conditioner

to my best friend after half using them as they don't suit my hair type, but they will suit hers.

What a pity, as its really good quality stuff and smells lovely. Also, a little goes a long way: I used the shampoo to wash my hair twice on three seperate occasions, and I had only used half of that tiny bottle! Wish it worked more for my hair as I definitely would have bought a bottle at that rate.

I've got AG hair mask and that dries my hair out too.
I am so tempted to chuck it.
And just might do as I am not going to want to out it on my hair again.
