No Buying Toiletries in Jan 2011 !!!!

I was very, very good today. I was in Poundland, source of many a shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, deodorant, handcream and handwash in the past .. and I resisted the lot.
I did get a 'Durable' anti-bacterial hand-cleaning gel (large size pump bottle, it looks about 500 ml, but doesn't actually say). I keep this in the kitchen for quick disinfects, not sure if it counts as an in, as it's not exactly toiletries. I'd used up the one I had. It's very runny, I suspect it's probably near-pure rubbing alcohol. There was a website addy so I looked and it's very professional looking, also the product was very well packaged.
Good Grief ... I followed links and looked on Amazon, where it is £7.47, with a RRP of £12.69Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Ooh my swap arrived today, thank you Tara
. So, that's 1 out and 6 ins:o. I am particularly looking forward to trying the Sanctuary scrub - it feels scrubby through the packet and the scrubbier the better for me
.
Two UU today, my handcreams that I cut open in the last few days (both home and work) have been finished today. One was Boots Mediterranean lemon, rosemary and walnut. Bought it on offer for £1, it was lovely, would definitely BA, if they still sell it (and when it's needed). The other was M&S coconut, I think this is only £1 as well, I love it so would definitely BA.
Race at the running club tonight - short one over 2.75 miles, came 3rd out of 7 ladies, 8th overall out of 14.
On a downer note, I chucked my mobile in the wash with my running stuff:mad:. Was only in there a minute as I drained the machine as soon as I realised, and is now drying out. Clutching at straws that it might work again, but totally gutted as it had some pictures of my bunny who's no longer with us:(:(

I forgot to say in my last post that I also got 2 gift vouchers for that Xfoliate Feet company. The one where you put your feet in the fish tanks!! I am really looking forward to treating myself with it. Has anyone else tried it? & Does it work?No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380

Turtle, sorry about your phone, you could try setting it into a bowl of rice grains, they absorb moisture - I know someone who dropped her phone into a sink full of water and she used this trick to dry her phone out, xx0

2 UUs to report!
I finished off some baby wipes - I use them to wipe down the window sills & such surfacesto use them up but counting them because they are technically toiletries that I just didn;t know how to get through!
WIBA: yes to do the same job but not for toiletry purposes! :rotfl:
Also finished off Tesco Finest ginger and pepper body souffle
It's lovely stuff, slightly creamier than BS butters, beautiful smell.
WIBA: yes if i needed body moisturiser (which I won't for a million years) but not sure if T still do it.
very pleased my UU figure now exceeds my IN figure again! :j0 -

Try opening it up, battery out, sim card out, and leave it in its separate parts, then pop it in the airing cupboard for a good 3 - 4 days before you even TRY to turn it on again. You could try the bowl of rice trick too - I've heard good things about that method too. It's many a digital camera or memory card that has been salvaged by the siring cupboard trick though.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

fiasco, i would love to have that, but have never tried it and wouldn't know where to get it done to be honest.
mags i can't seem to use one thing up a week let alone a day. To be honest i think it's more likely i'll only use up 12 things this year. It's madness why don't things run out for me?0 -
Evening all, catslovely cats, glad other people use face wipes for things other than their intended purpose... I feel a little like I am cheating but hey ho, don't really use them on my face - I might save one pack for trips away etc but i have about 6!!
Other than that I UU a Simple Derma body lotion today, WIBA - nope, nothing wrong with it but nothing very right with it either!
Pinkstars I have copied and pasted your HG list for when i have used enough stuff up to go to Lush, you seem to like the sweetish things that I do like Breakfast scrub and Candy Cane bubble bar so I am def going to be trying the others - hope thats ok?DFW Nerd #1310 -

Did you succumb to a BOGOF offer or something? I did! A friend of mine uses her to clean her toilets with. Not sure I'd go that far, but they are good for rubbing down some general surfaces. A friend of mine at work uses them to wipe her hands and desk with! Hey, why not!?0 -
Continuing on the pink rose candle theme I have taken a bottle of my Issay Miyake perfume into work to live there. I always wear perfume and usually have some in my bag but having recently moved jobs, I now have some safe storage areas in work to leave things like this. It should also help get the old stash down too
.
Well done you! Funnily enough I had a sort out of a drawer at work and I discovered that I've got 5 perfumes in there, admittedly three of which are miniatures/samples! I've also got a body spray which I use as a room spray and there's a full make up bag as well. It's a real home from home with my mini stash :rotfl:.
While I was typing emails at work today I couldn't help but think they would be a lot more interesting if I could add some of the smilies we use on here :rotfl:.0
