This is a really nice idea. :TLess stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
How about a visual aide memoir too? Get a picture of a house/ flat/ whatever you want to buy. Divide the picture into 120 squares and each time you have £100 saved, cross off another square.
I read a book called the automatic millionaire by Richard Bach and he talked about paying yourself first. So don't save what's left, pay your savings first and then live off the rest. It's a brilliant book but I lent it out and never got it back
still trying to catch up with the 10 pages
this is such a good idea , were in the process of saving for a house deposit so think ill do this idea0 -
Gorgeous stash Little Pink Star-what is on your HG list?
I read the No buying toiletries pages religiously, find the reviews of products great, I have about 1 spare of all my beauty products-so not even worth listing, but since getting into MSE website, i have been buying more nice things with all the glitches...
At 34, am getting the occasional spot-one of those lumps that is painful and stays for ages..thinking of straying from my BS Vitamin E cleanser, toner and moisturiser and trying the Liz Earle cleanse and polish-any fans? How long does a 100ml bottle normally last?
And Jacks, after reading all about your Bobbi Brown stuff, I went to the Cosmetic Company shop at Gunwharf (designer shopping outlet not too far from me)and splurged on some eyeshadow-gorgeous, and worth paying the extra, stays really well and looks so much better than my normal eyeshadow!Thinking of going to the BB counter next time i am in John Lewis to get a make over (never been confident at putting on make up and have never tried eyeliner!) I think i am at the age when paying a bit more for your beauty products definately pays off
Have a good rainy day ladiesxxx0 -
Finally another UU to report.
Boots botanics enlivening body scrub. WIBA? No way. It's not in the least bit scrubby.

4 ins to report-got a lipgloss and blush from une-they had an offer on if u spent over 15 you got a free book worth 15 and i really wanted the book
went for a nude shade gloss as i dont think i have any in my stash so not to bad. got the girls aloud party lashes(nicole) for £6.08 from boots-claires accesories they are about £8 and superdrug they are 5.94. also got a set of false nails for £1 at poundshop-i like them - they come in some nice designs and the plain ones work well if u put np over it. Local boots has loads in sale (millions and millions of hatboxes) will make a trip back down if the 75% happens soon because they have lots of good stuff left and buy some birthday pressies for the year.
£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am
20,000 step a day challenge0 -

Back to Flake Away for me.
I used flake away last night
It had already been used by me and i suspect I saved it because i liked it so much!
thanks to thie thread I have now given myself permission to use it rather than save it for a special occasion (pink candle moment)
and it's a big tub so this is one item I'm in no rush to use up!!:rotfl:0 -
I just wanted to say how much I'm loving our "pink rose-shaped candle" attitude on this thread
I don't remember who posted it originally (Andrea?), but it really seems to have changed our way of thinking in these few days since we read it. I'm wearing perfume everyday (I'm a cleaner:p) and I'm loving it. I'm using up my "nice" bits in my stash instead of saving them (for what???) and pampering myself almost daily, and lets face it, nobody else is gonna do it for me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We're all gorgeous, and we deserve gorgeous things :T0 -
