    Hi all!

    #7 today! Yipee!

Spoon - the chicken dish was yum!

    Recipe:
    Griddled Chicken

    2 Chicken Breasts, skin on
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 red chilli finely diced, or a qtr teasp chilli flakes
    1cm root ginger, grated
    1 lemon, zest and juice
    3 tbsp olive oil
couple of handfuls of flat leafed parsley chopped (nice but not absolutely necessary!)

Put all ingredients in a non metallic container and leave to marinade. (The longer the better)
    Preheat the oven to 180c
Heat griddle pan over mod heat & sear chicken, skin side down until skin is golden and crisp.
Transfer to a baking tray and finish in the oven - 10 mins or so at 180c
Meanwhile, cook your tagliatelle ( or whatever pasta you fancy) .
Drain and place the sliced chicken on top, drizzle with a little of the juices.

Alternatively, you can wrap each breast in tinfoil, drizzle over the marinade and bake in the oven for @ 20 mins. Take off the foil for the last 5 mins to brown up.
    HTH:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

    Another Flippin spendy day!!!

But... I bought coal from my Christams money. Gotta keep warm! Sent 3 ebay parcels which are already accounted for so dont count. So the only thing I properly bought was milk and cat litter @ £8.05...

At work tomorrow, so hopefully can rein myself not to spend owt :p

 yes, a litter tray minus litter is not a thought worth entertaining!

LFV - Glad to hear Dobey is a bit brighter today - there's nothing quite like a waggy tail or a purry kitty.

If I've already got the money out for swimming and that's all I spend, does it count as an NSD?

It really depends on your rules - I personally would count it as a spend as I count everytime I hand over cash/card for payment at the time of payment (if I worked on the basis of putting £ aside for 'other things' on a spendy day I know I'd end up spending more than I really needed to). However, I don't count the DD for my dance class as a spend (as I don't count DD) so if it is a spend for fitness and that isn't an area you are really needing to focus on (i.e your motivation for joining this challenge) then you can count it as a NSD if you want to. It really does depend on your own rules.

Jinty - please share that recipie - sounds lovely! (though I'd have to substitute chicken for Quorn if OH will eat it, now he's gone veggie on me!

Spendy day for me today...wend wild and bought some new hangers in Wilkins*ns - pack of 3 wooden ones and 6 non-slip ones (I am sick of my tops falling off hangers), oh and some T-Gel shampoo in B**ts as my scalp seems a bit dry atm - £6 though for 250ml

Was also expecting to be £10 worse off as I planned to get the car valeted at work (it's just too cold to go out there atm) and they wash/polish/hoover it for that. However, they ran out of time and only had time to do either my friends car or mine...I decided her need was greater than mine but will keep the £10 tucked away for the next visit. Do you know I can't actually remember the last time I went to the cashpoint? Have had cash in my purse, and have made some online spends (OH b'day) but overall, I've been quite good I think.
