  • Morning all

Just to let you know that I'm up to 7/20 NSDs! It would have been 8, but spotted loads of things in Co-op yesterday reduced down, and I can't resist a yellow sticker! Apart from that little slip up, I'm definitely feeling more in control of our spending, and really enjoying actually PLANNING what we're going to spend out money on rather than going to the supermarket without a clue!

Hope everyone else is doing well too :)

  • I agree this is the first time I've joined the challenge and just by putting off buying something to my next spending days means that by then I probably won't need or want it. I'm now up to 6/15. Unfortunately the next couple of days I'm going to have spend some money, but hope to back on track on Friday

  • Hi everyone!

I managed to clock up one more NSD yesterday, so my running total is now 7 NSDs - woop woop!

However, I've got my eye on a couple of things on e8ay today, but keeping my fingers crossed fingers_crossed.gif that if I win them, that the seller will be happy for me to pay for them in a few days when I do a food shop so that I don't miss out on a NSD ... do you think they'll understand, or will they just think that I'm ever so slightly off the wall? tsg_smiley_crazy.gif

    Have a good day everyone!

    Good afternoon all!

I'm rather late today, didnt have time to post this morning!

Should be another NSD today, no plans to spend anything!

Re the recipe BDINI - not sure if it would work with chicken thighs TBH due to the short cooking time. Thighs usually need longer to cook. I guess you could marinade then put the thighs and marinade in a covered dish and cook in the oven.

    Will check back later.
    Have a lovely day everyone:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

NSD no 8 for me please; had the swimming money on me and it needs to be budgeted for (say £25 a month) so that's all funky!

Forgive me Spoony (and SF) for I have sinned...

...I went out at lunchtime with money from the change pot for bread and full intention of obtaining a NSD....however I went into Mr WH Whiffs to buy a calendar (reimbursable) and purchased 5 boxes of Xmas cards for 99p per pack (barely any left so didn't want to wait til tomorrow), then 4 tins of my fav beans for £1 in Mr T.....

However, the cards will save me money at Xmas time, and the beans were a good offer...so I don't feel too bad, the point of me doing this challenge was to make me really define want/need when spending.
