Mmmm Jinty the recipe sounds lovely, i'm definitely going to try it, do you think it will work with chicken thighs too? I have some very elderly ones residing in the freezer that must be eaten!!LadyfromVenice wrote: »Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone. Dobey was looking a lot better yesterday. She managed to walk around a bit and eat a few slices of beef which she kept down, a vast improvement. She even wagged her tail at me when I got home yesterday so I was a very happy Lady.
I'm glad I'm now back and posting again. My new job is in town so there are lots of lovely shops which are trying to grab my attention. Today I am very pleased with myself as I walked to Mr As at lunchtime and only bought what was on my list. Result.
So pleased about Dobey LFV & huge well done on managing to stick to the essentials only during such a tough time!
Number 6 for me today :T
Can't believe i have somehow managed to pay off my overdraft during xmas & still have a positive bank balance with payday only at the end of the week & no spending planned :j Now all i need to do is pull my finger out, change to a fee free bank account & start overpaying my loan!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Well I had to fork out £7.20 for antibiotics today. Darn it. And that meant needing to buy some bio-yoghurt so I can keep control on my bacteria levels... And then that led to me buying some reduced veg for the guineas. So what I hoped would be a NSD has turned out the opposite.0

Another non NSD for me today, even with my train ticket being exempt. I lasted until about 8pm and then bought a couple of 20p mix ups at the leisure centre. They taste sooo good!Thank you competition posters!

Hurrah! Another NSD for me. That's NSD #5 :T
Went on a training course today, but resisted the urge to go to the shops both before and after! Had a real craving for a sugary drink on the way there, but settled for a bottle of fizzy water I had in the car instead.
Will need to have a spendy day tomorrow, as I'm in need of a few groceries to top up gaps in what I've got in. Still, I'm half way to my target now, and think I can be trusted to go into the supermarket without buying everything I see :rotfl:Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T
Student again now and trying to fight the debts that are creeping up again :eek:0 -

#6 for me today and just realised that's 6 in a row I think :j which is nearly a whole week without spending anything and unheard of for me. I keep saying I'll need to go to the shops but so far I've managed to avoid it. However, I really think that I can't avoid it tomorrow so will do a list and try and get everything in a oner - unless it snows lots tonight as is forecast and then I'll just make do and mend for another day:D0
