Glad it helped a bit, it is really all about being organised and concentrating spends into as few days as you can manage thus avoiding temptation..
Yes, if you don't spend anything else, you can have an NSD:T:T
x:)Good morning folks!
First Monday went ok, it felt like the first day in a new job - my wee brain cells were knackered after taking down loads of notes!:rotfl:
I enjoyed it though, new things keep you on your toes!
Should be another NSD today, have lunch and fares sorted. I've also got my dinner all ready for tonight - chicken marinated in lemon, olive oil, chilli, ginger and garlic which is going to be chargrilled and served with tagliatelle. Very domestic godess, eh?;)
Off to throw myself in the shower - I'll pop back later!
Have a lovely day everyone
Good news re Monday, jinty:T
ooh... can I come for dinner, that sounds delicious:D
Don't throw yourself too hard;)
xTropicalmoments wrote: »I was just checking something in my diary and realise I have 5 NSD's not 4:j It just keeps getting better as I also realised yesterday that I had slightly more money in the bank than I had thought. It's still tight but not quite as bad as it all seemed on Friday!
My horoscope on Saturday said to beware spending on Tuesday so I'm going to try to stay out of the shops today. I have a couple of ebay/amazon parcels to post today but the cost of this is covered in the sale.
Spoon - thank you so much for the tips. I'm going to give them a try and see if I can cut down even more. When I did my budget at the weekend I was embarrased by the amount of money I'm wasting each month on nothing in particular.
Stay away from the shops today.... you know it makes sense:D. Me too re the budget, I couldn't work out where all my money was going until I sat down and thought about it properly:o, it's a bit of a shock really...

I almost bought a book on amazon then realised not only would it mess up my budget but also my challenge so just added it to my wish list instead - I already have around 20 books by my bedside table to read
Will be a spend day today as I need a few groceries.
Well done for resisting the books:j. You might want to join Pickle's no more books challenge (on the DFW diaries):)

Either today or tomorrow with also be a NSD but I'm not 100% sure which yet- I need to buy a present so will either go to town today or tomorrow for that. If I buy it with a gift voucher can I still claim a NSD? :rotfl: Ooh, actually joking aside I have a jumper to take back so if I could exchange that for the gift then that would be a NSD- sorted!

I have just realised I had my days muddled up! I didn't go out yesterday and did no shopping online (woop!) so can declare yesterday a No Spend Day too!
Up to 3/10!! :j
Today won't be, have to buy a train ticket, and paper, and cough mixture and other exciting things... but might put the money aside for the train on Thursday and Friday, and cross my fingers for more NSDs this week!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Hi, Afternoon all! Declaring NSD 7 -can't believe that i have got so far so soon!!! Only 3 more to go-may actually add some more on-we'll see!
Only visiting the shops twice a week at the moment -once for my big shop at the weekend and once for a milk & bread top up otherwise temptation will set in! Have promised the kids that if I stick to my budget for shopping(though i may run out of money towards the end of the month-then it will be weird meals from the freezer and cupboard)then we will have a treat, takeaway or a trip to the cinema! Just need to get my ebay stuff sorted out-not enough hours in the day!
