NSD number 6 for me today... yesterday ended up being a spend day as I had too good a time with the bubbles on Saturday night and ended up spending money on comfort food and hangover cure stuff!!!Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!
2025 Fashion on a ration - 9/660 -
Good job it wasn't a blocked loo Kerri. You've been super patient. Give him hell if he lets you down again.
Well nsd 7 for me today. Will need petrol in the next couple of days so as it's salsa night tomorrow, I'll get the petrol on the way rather than make 2 spendy days.
I'm supershattered today, got a lot done. Have been fighting with the insurance company. Whilst I had a hire car as mine was being repaired after somebody decided that she could fit in a gap smaller than her car. Sadly somebody slithered into it in the snow and lift a tiny mark the size of a 10p.
Hire company insisted I claim on my policy, which put my renewal at the end of Jan up to £1400. I got another renewal for the same car but without the accident on it for £530 :eek: slight difference I'm sure you'll agree.
Rang the insurance company up and apparently it shouldn't even be claimed on my policy, so I've not lost my no claims :j:j:j So going to see if I can improve on the renewal quote given.
I'll give some thought to the giving up diet coke/caffeine thread. Maybe a weekly one started at weekends. I just don't want to start one and not be able to carry on.
Have a good one people0 -

Me too!!!! was one of my new years resolutions to keep it up to date, but already have no idea what's in there!!!
Thankfully I now do - how long I keep it up is an entirely different matter :rotfl:Elf - you made me laugh at your description of sitting being surrounded by frozen food - I applaud your organisation though, my freezer inventory is in my head - thank goodness we don't have a chest freezer :rotfl:
I fear the reality may have been a whole lot worse than you are picturing :rotfl: Glad nobody could see me. I have 2 freezers. One was nice and easy to do as there is a fair amount of space around it but unfortunately the bigger one is right in the corner so I had the kitchen door behind me and literally food all round me. Was soooooooooo glad when it was done - hands were raw with the cold but on the plus side I can now meal plan properly AND there is some room for more woopsies
Glad you said "bits" - had to do a double take there!:rotfl:
Ooooh no that was deff a typo was meant to say something completely differentEmma

Hi folks,
Another NSD for me today, so that is 4/12 for Jan
Money FritterDFW#972 LBM2 (09/07/12) £25938.84; Current £23783.35;Credit Credit Card1 £128.47/£6424.24 (2%);Credit Card2 £443.86/£15663.25 (2.8%); Overdraft £0/£2500 (0%)0 -
Hmmm Jinty - now I wonder who could have been playing tonight?? :rotfl:My OH was watching it too - though I won't repeat some of the comments he made
Thanks for the update Slowly - you're doing a grand job :T
Glad you got the car sorted Moneypenny - what a nightmare though, why is it always (or usually) the customer that is left sorting out the errors? Regarding the caffeine thing - I don't think i've had any more/less than normal on the tea front today but deff no headaches...it's either my screen (though I've been working at home so suggests eyes should be ok)... or I think it might be the heating at work - which sounds silly but honestly, it gets super stuffy and as soon as it is switched off, my head starts to feel better. Or perhaps I was just tired....will see how things go when I'm back in the office tomorrow. I used to get a lot of headaches at one time in school, they never really did find the cause of that either - might be stress?
Forgive me NSD'ers for I have sinned - I declared a NSD then this evening I booked a hotel for me and OH for a friends wedding - but I need to book in advance to get a good rate, and it's a somewhat unavoidable spend (don't fancy a night in the car....that's taking MSE a bit far me thinks :rotfl:) and had I thought, I'd have booked it tomorrow when I will be spending.... The reason I joined this channge was to takle my £1/£2 odds and sods spending, whereas this is a one off...so I'm not gonna count it... if that's ok?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hey Hannah, just a thought, but some folk will put some money by on an already spendy day when they know they'll need some later in the week. Say for example, you have the light lunch deal in your local cafe which costs £5:99 & you need two hours parking when you meet up with your pals today. Yesterday, while getting your wallpaper etc (& well done on the bargains :T] you could have put a tenner in the back of your purse to pay for it all, making an assumption the prices may have gone up with the dratted Valueless Atrocious Tax  Providing you don't go over your budget, you can still legitimately claim an nsd IF YOU wanted to.
Thanks BigMummaFI love this way of thinking, but have a feeling that if I put money aside for planned spending, it would run away with itself and I'd end up justifying a LOT of spending! So, for now, I'm going to try to be strict with myself while I get the hang of things.
This thread is really helping curb my spending! :TOfficial DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T

another nsd for me thats 9 so far
at least something going right i thought i'd left all my bad luck behind in 2010 doesn't look like it so far this year laptop went on blink then the combi micro wave it works on grill and oven but not micro ???? then the damn can opener decided not to work and i 've not been able to find the receipt yet still trying now my fridge/freezer is making weird noises again it stopped doing that when we moved it away from the outside wall so i thought that had solved the problem i was wrong can't afford to replace it just yet not till some other stuff paid off i've never owed so much out ever is scary, just hope my luck holds out on the no spends as every £ towards my debt is a £ nearer to me replacing my f/r. If need be i will just have to get a fridge or a small f/f i'm just not used to small fridges always had big one with having big family i don't like these kind of decisions ????if i decide wrong its not something i can change just hope i don't have to for a while longer
re the caffine if i use my brains and cut down i could put money saved into my f/f fund now how much can i save and how long will it takemmm ????, maybe we could all do the same decide on what to spend funds saved by ditching as much fizz as poss i don't drink the diet one make my tum hurt .2nd purse challenge no040£0 Sealed pot challenge ???? £2 trolley find not counting small coins till end year0
