No 3 for me today! decided not to cont days i have to put fuel in the car as that is such an essential where I live, but I was good and didnt buy anything in the garage when paying!

Also had some fab news, rang the electricity company today as my payments have been large as ive been paying off a huge bill due to them estimating my meter readings for several years, and I am now in credit to the tune of over £1000!!!!!! Which will be credited to my bank account at the end of the month, so not only have my monthly payments gone down by half but I will be £1000 less overdrawn by the end of the month!!
YAY... great news janeawej:j:j:j. Good start to the year for you:j:j:j
I just wanted to say I have had my 2nd NSD today! I feel in control of my money for the first time in years and it is such a great feeling! (Sorry Spoon but it wont let me make it red...or make it bigger...hope you find it ok :-))

And well done to you, bella, it is a great feeling, I agree.

Don't worry, I'll find your NSDs, won't miss you out.

Try clicking on the "reply" button, rather than "quick reply". You should get options at the top of the window then to change the text size and colour.

    Hope that helps

  • #4 NSD for me. I might need to get some stuff tomorrow but I've still got a bit of money on an M&S card that will probably cover it, in which case I'll count it as an NSD.

Evening all! NSD 6 for me today - was wfh as were were having THE mattress and bed fram delivered (by diff companies) and the plumber was booked to come round to do the bits in the bathroom that have been waiting for him to do for months.

Had to get milk but pilfered OH change for that since he guzzled most of it AND left me with barely enough for two cups this morning (the amount that I need to get me going)

Well both bed and mattress were delivered by 10am :j Still no sign of the plumber by 2pm so phoned him to see what time he was coming....and he'd forgotten :mad::mad: I was really really p*ssed off as I've been more than paitent with him being busy/ill/called out on emergancies but don't try to tell me that he's been busy mending bust pipes for 3mths solid  I think he could tell from my tone I was super narked, I've said if he gets the materials he can come and get the key on Wed morning before I go to work and do it then - if he lets me down this time I'm getting someone else. It's awkward as hes the brother of one of OH friends, and we know him quite well as he did the plumbing jobs in our prev flat but enough is enough and if he doesn't want our £ I'll find someone who does. Sorry....rant over :o

Big hugs LFV - my problems are nothing compared to what you must be going through xxx

Welcome back Peaches, hope you had a lovely holiday - and hope the little 'un enjoyed her time with OH family too. xxx

Elf - you made me laugh at your description of sitting being surrounded by frozen food - I applaud your organisation though, my freezer inventory is in my head - thank goodness we don't have a chest freezer :rotfl:

Cheryl - where are you? we miss you...and your whoopies :rotfl: hope you're ok?

tell me about it - its nothing major that needs doing (thank goodness *rolls eyes*) prob all stuff I could do myself (although he does need to look at the shower which I can't fix - it's got a dodgy pump so the hot water doesn't come through straight away) but by the time I bought all the tools, I'm better of paying him to do it.

We aksed him due to OH being friendly with his brother, and because we knew him from doing work at our prev flat, thinking (clearly mistakenly) that he'd be reliable and would rather pay someone we know rather than a stranger from the phone book. Needless to say I am less than pleased.....:mad::mad:

Well I have just done another freezer inventory so I can plan some more meals for over the next few weeks. For some reason I cannot keep a list up to date so periodically I freeze my bits off sat on the tile floor surrounded by frozen food :o

Glad you said "bits" - had to do a double take there!:rotfl:

Kerri - I feel for you - exactly the same thing happened to me when I got my bathroom done. The plumber was a cousin of a pal, and he turned out to be the most unreliable ripoff merchant ever! It's so irritating when they muck you about, as if your time is lees valuable than theirs!

Anyhoo - #6 for me today, no spends apart from Amazon posting, but not counting that as the buyer has paid me.
Off to bed shortly, as SOMEONE is watching football, so I will retire to my chambers with my book;)
