Well it's not a NSD for me, I do however have two eyebrows again now :T and also had to help feed the change monster to get OH mug shots...sorry I mean passport photos done :rotfl: £5 though for the photos these days

We also went over to Mr A and although only had a basket and some loo rolls (18 on offer for £6) still managed to spend £50  (again) but OH did get two tops (£16 in total), plus toilet rolls £6, cat food £6 (box of 24 pouches - no point getting tins, Skip won't eat them), tea bags £3 makes £31 alone.

I also took back some kitchen scales I bought at the end of Oct, had used them about 6 times and the batteries went which I consider to be unacceptable. Eventually got an exchange but I could tell the Supervisor REALLY REALLY didn't want to give me one. I got a nice long lecture about how the batteries supplied aren't the best and I shouldn't expect them to last, plus the scales may have sat in the warehouse etc etc. She even went off and got some other batteries which I thought she was going to try and put in the scales. I then explained in my politest but firmest manner that whilst I appreciate they can't replace every item that the batteries run out in, and yes, they aren't the best standard supplied batteries, I didn't think I was being unreasonable expcting them to last more than 6 uses and 8 weeks, that the batteries she was holding (which were the wrong ones for the scales anyway) had an expirey day of 2020 so unless my scales had been in the warehouse for 9yrs, I batteries should be ok, AND finally, you have to pull a plastic tag out of the battery connection anyway before use so there is no way the battery life should have been affected by storage...... needless to say I won that particular debate, but honestly, I really had to stand my ground there.

Well, off my soapbox and going to make a cuppa - washing to do and things to put away in the spare room before the guest bed is delivered on Monday (I feel a bit miffed buying a bed we're never going to use...might have to sleep in it for a night just to try it :rotfl:)

My baby sis is 44 today...that make me feel quite old - much worse than on my 50th last year, at least them I got pressies to ease the pain :o!!

Remember when you were wee and you used to get a token pressie on your sibling's birthday just to keep you quiet? ... Or was that just me being a petulant child? :p

Someone recommended Aveeno to me & it's been great. Again, not cheap but you only need a tiny bit. There's several different "varieties" (if you look on Boots.com you'll get an idea of prices/types if you're interested).
I get this from C0stc0 or M4kr0, 3 200ml tubes for about £8 (last time I bought it anyway)! My friend has it presribed by her GP for her ezxema, which saves her a fortune. Jinty, the weather and going in and out of the cold this time of the year plays havoc with my skin, so it could just be that?
I reckon it's perfectly reasonable to count is an NSD - realistically speaking it makes you £1.50 better off than if you had bought the grapes today!
Definitely; you made a conscious decision not to buy the grapes and knew where and when you could get them more cheaply - I reckon that's a sure fire sign that the NSD challenge is working perfectly in helping you question your spending! :D

Nothing to declare! I have noticed it is lack of organisation with food that is leading to my NSDs; I was visiting a friend yesterday but didn't have much time so picked up a takeaway crepe for dinner. Perhaps I need to look at a lunchtime challenge too.

I'm hoping today will be one as I decided it was too snowy to want to leave the flat, but I will declare later. I was going to go food shopping but the hairdresser's texted to remind me I have an apoointment tomorrow so I'll leave it until then.
