Car playing up, I have no indicators working, so it needs checking...hopefully it isn't serious....but that will mean paying today for any work done. However, if it is going to take more time to sort, then that will delay payment...but will mean next week will be a nightmare driving-wise...almost as bad as this week!!!

Don't get me started on cars.........the week before xmas our cambelt went, blew all the pistons, valves and water pump. We were without the car for 10 days and weren't able to get xmas pressies in due to lack of transport and £1000 bill .

I am invigilating all over the place (sounds painful - have you been wiggling too hard?) and at odd times every day next week...so I can see we will all be piling into DH's mini to take DS2 to college, DH to work, then at least I will have the car for the rest of each day.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Hello all

Number 3 today (at last). What a week, twice DH asked me to pick up a pint of milk or soup (seriously I couldn't turn around and say sorry darling you are ruining my NSDs). Have a great week end everybody

I do!!! Hubby knows if I'm heading for an NSD he has to pay for stuff himself.

NSD 4 for me. Counting all money spent including DDs and SOs as usual. Don't know how I've already managed 4, the beginning of the month is normally spendy for me.

I've got a bit of a puzzle. Went and did my shopping at Mr T today but refuse point blank to spend £2.50 on grapes when I know I can get them for £1 at the market.

Puzzle is, If I go out and buy the grapes tomorrow but nothing else, could I count it as a nsd?

    What do you think?

I think that so long as the only thing you purchase is the grapes from the market, then you can count that as a NSD - otherwise you'd have spent £1.50 more than you needed to today and that's neither the aim of this challenge or ver MSE. :)

Oh blimey, I nearly just ruined my NSD by placing an order with AF!! Only stopped myself when I got my card out of my purse to pay - close shave! Lots of yummy things on offer that would have been lovely but not helped our budget or our ever expanding waistlines, best lay off the wine for the night before I buy anything else :) xx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....
  • SF, just noticed your sig. Getting married in March......fantastic.

I was married on 9th March (my birthday). It was freezing cold but really sunny. The sun shining in the pictures make it look as if it was summertime! Next year is our 15th anniversary and we are finally getting our honeymoon (hubby had to work the week after the wedding)

Oh........did I tell everyone we're going to see Mickey this Halloween? (think I might have mentioned it once or twice):rotfl:

Trust me wine + internet shopping is a bad bad idea...that's how I ended up with an order being despatched to the wrong address :o

    Hello everyone!

Bella - welcome to the NSD thread, Mistress Spoon will no doubt add you to the front page and put you through the official initiation ceremony (something involving baked beans, wet kippers and custard, I seem to recall.....)

LFV - welcome back to the asylum! Sorry if life has been a bit carp lately, please feel free to have a good old whinge on here if you want to.

I am still stuck on 3 NSDs but my acute nose sniffs one hanging round sometime over the weekend.....

errr... are you sure that isn't the kippers Nargle?:D
