    I've done it!

Managed to not online shop, not go to the shops and not TV shop

Instead cleaned the house, chucked out loads of stuff and tidied up and made some tea from what was in and am now eating Thornton's Chocolates!

    Making it NSD 5!

Need to buy some bits tomorrow I think - will double check and see if I can delay it until Monday - anyway will see tomorrow

I had to go to the Post Office to do some stuff for work which is really business expenses so didn't count.

But then I did go and buy a chicken and bacon caesar baguette I promised myself all week from Debenhams (as a birthday treat). I managed not to buy anything else though apart from my bus fare for the Park and Ride.

Remember when you were wee and you used to get a token pressie on your sibling's birthday just to keep you quiet? ... Or was that just me being a petulant child? :p
Nope, never had that one! There were four of us kids and not much money when I was growing up, so no chance!! Anyway, with my birthday in November, Christmas and lil' sis's beginning of Jan, there were enough pressies floating around!!

Declaring both yesterday and today NSDs...2 more making a total of 4 NSDS now .

Thanks Spoon and SF..you're my NSD superheroes, thanks so much for all your hard work on this thread!! :T:T:T

Really chuffed about yesterday - took the sickly car into the garage, dreading the cost. He took 10 minutes to look things over, use his tester-thingy...and replaced a faulty fuse...job done.....and...HE DIDN'T CHARGE ME ANYTHING!!!! :j:j
Restores your faith in folk!!! :D

Had a a busy day today baking: 5 dozen cinnamon/sultana buns and 4 large loaves...multiseeded/wholemea/white mixture...rose amazingly well!!!

Was planning on ironing tonight...but back decidedly iffy...so will sit and rest and knit while watching more of DS2's Numb3rs DVDs...he got Season 2 for Xmas...they look all so young, but still great to watch.

Hope to report another NSD tomorrow...we'll see.

    Have a great evening everyone.

Phew! Just sat down after a flurry of activity in the kitchen - had some left over veggie stuffing (which looked and smelled ok) so (using the new mini chopper I got for Xmas :T) I blitzed it up with some chestnuts and cooked up some Qu*rn mince, threw in some tinned toms and peas and then topped with some defrosted mash to make another veggie shephers pie. Actually made up more than I realised, so its all cooking in the oven atm. Hope it tastes ok - keep your fingers crossed for me (and OH who will have to eat it :rotfl:)
