....In my determination to plan for a day of NSD, I find myself trying to squash all my purchases onto the same day, to ensure that i won't have to spend anything the next day....Has anyone else done this and still finds it more economical?
This is a really weird side-effect of the NSD Challenge, & strangely was the best incentive I had to carry on. It really frightened me to see how much I was spending when it all came in one lump so-to-speak, & it also helped that I didn't have the strength to physically carry any unnecessary extras :p You soon work out what is & is not important when you run out of hands!

I'm in severe need of some virtual hugs this morning and feel welcome here so hoping you guys might oblige....
What a lovely thing to say that you feel comfortable in our little patch of the woods. For that alone I'm cuddling the monitor, but I'm gunna have to let go now cuz I've only got short arms, stood on tippee-toe & about to topple base over apex if I'm not careful!
One good thing is you've already found MSE & can have a head-start on setting up contingency plans to help see you through. Give us a shout & I'm sure one of us will be able to tell you of a post or thread that might be useful ((HUGS))

Happy FREE-OOOHHHHfff Birthday Elf & enjoy your celebrations! I'm back over me muvva's tonight & planning on taking her out tomorrow, so I hope you don't mind my premature Congratulations ;)

Hello Antonia  If you think giving up your daily can of pop AND restricting your spending is too much to ask in one hit, could you buy a six-pack of cans with your grocery shop & take one in to work with you? Bit like Jola's post if you think about it..

Poorly parents prevent participants purchasing, particularly with no tinaweb either, so I'm on no 3.

    Reporting NSD 4 today. :D

Had a totally MSE day today - lunch was taken in to work and I was able to send off an item I'd sold on eBay. All profits to MBNA for me :j.

    Have a good day all

So on that note pease can I declare NSD number 2

Tomorrow will deff be a spendy day as I now have a hair apt (sadly not at the college's training salon as I cant get hold of them - guessing they still off on holiday). It is desperately needed though. Its my birthday tomorrow the big 3 0 but dont tell anyone and I am going out Sat night for dinner and drinks and I refuse to go out looking like a dogs dinner :rotfl:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow. It's an excellent day for birthdays. At least your now 35 tomorrow like me! :o I think tomorrow might be a spending day for me too on that count.

I'm in severe need of some virtual hugs this morning and feel welcome here so hoping you guys might oblige. Found out yesterday that my shop is closing on the 17th of this month  I have worked there for nearly 7 years and for the entire time that I've lived in Northern Ireland so I am in massive shock. It doesn't feel real at all but I know that it's going to hit me hard at some point today.

It just feels like we were finally getting our feet back under us and the rug gets pulled out. On New Year's Eve my OH and I felt so positive about this year and how close we were to being debt free. I do know that we will be ok and that I will find something but I'm just so upset about it all.

Sorry about the mopiness but I just needed to have a moan.......

((((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))) twistedhazel & feel free to moan as much as you want, you've had a huge shock & it's not surprising that you feel the way you do. All i can do is echo what the others have said, that i'm sure something positive will be round the corner & anytime you need to let off steam we're all here x
