Spend day to day, but I think I have sorted out most of my shopping for this week - breakfasts/lunch/dinners, as as well as watching the £'s i'm also watching the lbs.....

    Good luck everyone

  • Managed 2 so far, I knew I would have to spend yesterday as we were visiting father in law and taking him out for lunch.

18 more to go to reach my target...what I need to watch out for now is making sure I take lunch to work and don't pop out to the shops at lunchtime...

Spend day today, as ironically I had to buy a new spending diary for 2011!! Was expecting to get one for Christmas but didn't, and I'd be lost without one now! Going to record absolutely everything this year (just did groceries last year) to see where my extra pennies are going.

Spoon, I like the suggestions of ways to make the thread easier for you to manage, some good ideas there. I was also thinking if people post their updates in bold/red it'd be easier for you to scan through the thread? The grocery challenge does a similar thing, it would save you from having to read every post.

Hope going back to work tomorrow isn't too much of a shock for everyone. I dont want to gloat but the upside of working lots of bank holidays over christmas/new year is that I've only got two days left at work this week before a lovely 4 day weekend!

  • Hello  wow this thread is super fast! ok have managed #3 :j have employed the following tactics - when I went for a walk yesterday I left my purse at home so I wouldn't be tempted to get some evil fags :), have not smoked or bought any cigs this year :j. Have made mammouth batch of tom soup and about to blitz it, tub it up and freeze, have also made banana & walnut cake for sweet teeth ;)

tomorrow I'm going for #4 by leaving my purse at home :D good luck everyone
