No NSD for me today as I have friends over for a take out tonight and also have to buy some ingredients for a cake as it is one of said friends 40th :D Will enjoy myself and hope I get at least one more NSD, probably on Sunday. For some reason I am sure I won't be getting one on Monday, but can't think why at the moment?!?! I must have something arranged that I can't remember at the moment :o
Thanks again to Spoon and SF, hope things are better for you both x
Have a good day, everyone :)

ETA - have remembered that I am going out for the evening with some friends on Monday night hence no NSD :o Quite surprised I forgot, actually!!!

    Hi

Please can I be added to this challenge?

I've been following it all month, though only just plucked up courage to ask to join.
I've been keeping track of my NSD's and am pleased to be able to say that I have already got 17 NSDs this month, I might even get one more before month end though today and tomorrow will be spend days .

For now I am only counting NSDs as days when I have not paid money out of my purse or used my bank or credit cards, (and I am not counting buying train tickets or petrol) and I still need to do more work on what I spend on the days I do open my purse or use my cards, but it has still made a huge difference to what is going out over the month.

Has has an interesting impact on my calorie intake too - it goes along the lines of - I really want to buy a chocolate bar at the station - but manage to decide not to because then I lose a NSD from my tally, but it has the added bonus of no added calories too.;)

Not planning to set myself a monthly target, just will aim for as many as I can manage each month.
Debt Free since Nov 11 (ish) (except the £118000 mortgage :o) as at Jan 2013 but still hanging around DFW as I need to Stay On Track.

Welcome ebsaver, and well done on an impressive haul of NSD this month :T You're right about the calorie intake too, I'd never thought about that before but it does help to cut down on the lunchtime 'treats'

Well Spoony, I can advise that I did indeed clock up another NSD yesterday so that takes my haul so far to 16 - which looking at my totals since I joined isn't bad at all. Though I must admit, spend wise I have been a bit naughty since Xmas - but I did have OH b'day and it's not often I get to take a [STRIKE]shopping [/STRIKE]business trip to the States - ok, but I do need to cut down on making excuses that I 'need' this that and the other :o

ps haven't heard back about that dress on ebay yet :(

    Evening all! ITS FRIDAY! :j

Nargle - sorry to hear about the poor kit in the garden, I know what you mean about giving your own one lots of extra cuddles when something like that happens. I 'collected' a poor kit last winter that had obviously been hit and crawled to the grass verge, all the other cars were just driving past but once I got to work, I just had to get a box and take the poor thing to the vet so at least they had a chance of finding the owners (turns out he/she was chipped and they did). Poor thing was a stiff as a board when I picked him up so goodness knows how long he'd been there or how many cars had driven past. :( Sorry, didn't mean to be all maudly...

I found one about 2 months ago she'd been hit badly - couldnt find her owners so took her to my local vet... She was chipped and they did track down the owners who wanted to take her away!! Turned out she had a broken pelvis and internal injuries :( Luckily she rallied round and went home after 2 weeks. Apparently the owners were going to call me to say thanks for taking her to the vet and not leaving her. They never did though...

I remember being pretty inconsolable as I couldnt bear the thought of one of my baggy cats being in that amount of pain....:(

Thursday nights haul included 2xblocks of mild cheddar (one 542g, one 596g) that should have been £5.19/kg for 19p a block....

But last nights was even better - over £15 of value chicken breast fillets for £1.47 :T Major game of freezer squeeze to be commenced here very shortly, as there are a total of 15 fillets to be repacked and put away blush.gif

Very impressed, Cheryl, especially with the chicken, that's definitely a whoopsie worth having:T

  • Going to go for 12 NSD in Feb, as looks like I am only going to hit 11 this month, damn. Not bad though for first attempt. :j
    MAY NSD's

  • I've just come back from Mr T's & Ice*and - the final shopping trip of the month! I spent a total of £66.50 (broken down to £54.50 Ts & £12.00 Ice), I've updated my signature already - I've spent a total of £344.92 this month, which means that I've saved an incredible £155.08 - I can't believe it, this is going to pay off one of the credit cards :j For February I've decided to drop my amount to £360.00 for the month - which is £90 a week.
