Won't be a NSD today for me but it should be a low spend one.

But I thought all this was not to get in to debt and save money
I'm not in debt and I do save quite a lot - we've got to have some fun sometimes! :D

Ah, OK. I count them slightly differently to you- I don't count DDs, SOs etc, but I do count every bit of grocery shopping that I do. One of my particular aims is to avoid going into our local Sainsbury's 3, 4 or even more times a week as I was until recently. I am trying to plan ahead much more by doing an online shop as needed (weekly or fortnightly depending on stocks!) I hardly ever had a NSD until I joined this challenge!
Of course I am also trying to tackle uneccessary spending (cash or otherwise) like you, but in not venturing to town for food shopping, this is pretty much taking care of itself! :D

    I'm exactly the same.

  • Yippee I am halfway - NSD No 6 for me now. with two weeks left that is only 3 a week, hoping to possibly go over my target. I am loving this challenge, I have deleted every sale email and normally i would feel I am missing out. I have never been so determined. :T

Thurs cost me the small fortune of 16.50 for a dentist to spend 2 mins checking my teeth (it took me longer than that to book my next appointment!!). And today I finally went to the shops for a few groceries. Managed to come home with very little tho, so all good :D

Yeah! forum back up and running :j

If it makes you feel better Hannah - my dentist is about £30 for a mere look at the old nashers  I pay monthly for dental cover though so I don't actually have to pay when I go (works better for me knowing that's covered, and also ensures I go for my regular visits since I've already paid for them :rotfl:)

Declaring yesterday as a NSD - so that's me up to 7 NSD and 1/2 way :j I bought a hair clip from B**ts (chucked all my other ones when my hair was shorter but it's long enough to warrant one now) but used advantage points. Went out to see a band called the Small Fakers (Small Faces tribute - they are v.v good) but OH took me out as a treat which was very nice of him - esp given the amount we (well he) spent on taxis, and the cost of a round - £7.60 for two drinks in the venue  Isn't it great living in the Royal Borough?? :wall:

Was expecting a spendy day today as was supposed to be seeing my mum, but she's not feeling great so called a rain check. I do need to get bread and milk but OH has given my grocery pennies, so assuming I don't go over that I should clock up a very nice, and unexpected NSD which will be nice.

Right...off to shower....still lolling about in my pjs - disgraceful at this time of day :rotfl:

could be back in mine soon.... if I go out for a run I'll be drenched when I get back, and I've no intention of putting on clean/dry clothes for a few hours when PJs will suffice and I'm not expecting any visitors.....

  • thanks jintyb:beer:
I returned the items but 'lost' about £25 from my calculations because I forgot some of the bits were reduced a bit more than the invoice showed. Never mind! Wandered around looking for something to spend my credit note on, but no. Nothing. I've got until October to use it though:rotfl:.
Returned the Next bits and the Clarks shoes and the Boots bits. Even went to T to return 2 items to the direct desk and managed to walk out without buying any snacks (though craving like mad for doritos and dip - enough to decide to walk there later...).
If I can keep it up it's a NSD for me and the first time I can remember that I've gone to shops without buying somehting!:j Not listing it officially yet in case I can't fight the temptation. It's gonna be a long and dark afternoon...

If my green light isn't out in ten minutes someone please give me a kick up the backside!!
