They do say that admitting to something is the biggest part of dealing with an "issue" so Grats for taking that first step :T As for anything else constructive...:(...'fraid I'm in the same boat AND forgot me paddle :o There were so many things I wanted to do from crimbly that are still just dreams scribbled on the back of an old envelope...

Seasons Salutations Soulmates :rotfl: Me muvva & I had actually gone on to bed but a combination of a neighbour's party (she lives in a flat) the fireworks from the footie club & dozens of doglets barking their bits orf..well..you can imagine :doh:Not that NYE has ever been that 'special' an occasion as far as I'm bothered, but we saw Midnight.

The third draft of the NSD Treaty is just above; comments please so we can finalise. I'd appreciate some feed-back from you newbies, as us regulars know what I'm talking about [& that's a first :rotfl:]

Think I'll go for 15 again please. I have to price up some sheet metal from somewhere to put on the walls & doors near my cooker, as apparently the regulations have changed & we're "at risk" with how things are. Doesn't matter that I've always had a gas cooker in that exact position since we moved in 25+ YEARS ago --if there's a fire for ANY reason, our insurance won't pay out because I've been told about the 'hazards'. A certain major DIY store wants fifty quid for a minute splash-back meaning at least £250, unless I can find something else :(

Keiss - I movitvate myself to do things with 'me time' rewards, whether it be as simple as 'right ho, I'll get the washing on, do the hoovering and empty the dishwasher - then I'll sit down for 1hr and have a cuppa and watch a prog from my Sky+ selection' or 'I'll do the pile of ironing then relax in a a nice hot, long bath'.

I tend not to be able to relax if I know I have lots to do but have also realised I can't do it all at once so knowing i've done the tasks I've set myself help to strike a balance x

    Thanks mm7...ooh surprises!

My DS1 was 21 on Dec 28th (got money for a new road bike in November) and DS2 will be 18 in Feb...they don't half grow up fast!!!

Still working on a birthday surprise for DS1 while he is at his GF's. Hope to get a large frame painted (primed this afternoon & 1st coat going on tonight!) then put in loads of piccies of him growing up ;). The frame will look great in his room here...the old frame colour (white) just didn't go. (BTW...got the 4 foot by 18" frame, complete with piccies, mount and glass for £5!!!)

I am keepng the B&W piccies already there as he will probably prefer them, so he can remove the other pictures if he wants to. He gets embarassed easily and despairs about us sometimes!! This could have been done in time for his birthday, but our printer has died, so we need to wait and get a new one next week...then I'll get everything printed...just in time before he heads off back to Uni!!

I was planning on making a cross-stitch bookmark for him as well...but as he doesn't know he was going to get one...he won't miss it!! I'll make one for his next birthday/Christmas...without the 21 on it though! See...I'm cutting down on doing too much..he did get plenty of other bits and pieces....so he wasn't deprived!! :)

Right, off to see if DH needs a hand with making tea...lovely roast beef...yummmmmm....with pop-overs
    (yorkshire puddings) too ofcourse.

    Night, night...see you all tomorrow.

Thanks BMF and kerri good advice there....my "me" time usually involves making something...knitting, cross-stitching, sewing or gardening...so still productive (see, I still have to be "doing" something!!!).

BMF love your NSD Treaty, think I will print it out and stick it on the fridge or freezer so I see it every day. You seem to have covered everything so not much to add.

I do tend to limit my spending to two days a week (usually Mondays and Fridays...knowing I have these days as spend days means I can organise and keep all of my spending to those two days, or at least try to!

Thanks again for all your and spoony's hard work on keeping this thread going...and all your help and encouragement throughout the past few years....you're brill :T:T

    Right, I'm definitely off now....!
