Hi fellow avon reps, i joined your happy workforce on thursday, dropped my first 31 books (c4), and am off out to collect, am half excited, half dreading it, have been assigned two streets, mine and the next one up, only did 1/2 of mine and ran out of books

am a tad confused as i was given c4 and c5 books, so not entirely sure how i get two campaigns orders in by 17th, so i think i am going to go collect up my brochures, change collection date and put c5 in the next streets letterboxes

did a nice friendly little letter on the front introducing myself but didn't give the option of "no further books put thru the front door" - see i am learning from you all already

can someone just tell me how much a brochure costs and how much the order forms cost - is there anything else i should be ordering from avon?

have got some sandwich bags and was thinking of putting a teabag and some funsize choc bar next campaign - is that a stupid idea?

    Thanks Lozza!

unfortunetly im not! :( One my kidneys isnt functioning so waiting on my consultant to decide whether he is fully removing it or not! Totally wiping me out and making me very ill! :( Avons taking bit of a back seat... but long as I make PC this year i'll be happy.. no major targets this year as health is more important.

Hows things going with your team?? You were doing quite well last i remember building up your lovely team aswell as doing good sales with you and OH.

Johanne! How lovely to see you back! Sorry to hear about your health problems - hope they will be sorted out before too long. In the meantime, as you say, your health is more important than Avon could ever be.

It's getting to be quite a family affair on here (EssexHebridean is my Daughter) :D

Oh what a shame, do you work full time too? I am quite lucky in that I am home with DD although I fit my work mostly around her playgroup she has 3 times a week. Delivery day, I do go out late afternoon for a few hours so DH has to do dinner (!). It's the dropping and picking of brochures I find that takes up the time. I do use the car but have my finger in a lot of pies so it's a case of trying to juggle the time.

Is there any help we can give you to make you reconsider? Just looking at some of your earlier posts and you were so enthusiastic.

Hiya, yes i work full time (ish), i work 5 days a week in a school, finish at 3.15 (most days), get my daughter from nursery, home by 4.15, sort dd's tea etc out, Oh gets home after 6 on a day he works over time, after 5 on a day he finishes on time so basically i only get after 5.30 on days OH isnt working to do avon. He works a satuday morning then our weekend is so packed full of things that we need to do that Avon doesnt get a look in on the weekend.
Thanks so much for all your help, i have loved meeting you all and doing my avon. The main problem is that the only way i get enough time to do book drops/deliveries is if OH comes home on time, thus loosing out on his money so we're not making any money by doing avon. Too much work for no money!

Hi  welcome to the thread that will help you the most!! Your SL should have explained to you which campaign you are on at the moment. In theory it should be 4 and you have the books to go out for 5 after you have collected C4 orders. It should only be C4 in by 17th? Have you got your log in for your online account yet? You can check your dates etc there.
Note on front is a good idea. Personally I prefer the avon brochure bags as they look smarter imho :o and they are now making them bigger to make our lives easier! The price of books depends on how many you order.... I am sure on one of our posts the breakdown is there for you. You can get some order forms FOC and you should be able to manage with those, I have so far. Delivery bags are a good idea. Although the paper ones don't cope with bubble bath etc that is heavy!!
Tea bag and funsize choc is a good idea, but I have only used it on existing customers who have missed a camaign as I don't think the cost would be justified to do it across the board. Maybe do a note to save free gift when you spend £x amount to encourage them to start, and then choose some bargain items to use as free gifts?

Good Luck with it, remember the first few campaigns are the hardest and try and get the time to read the thread before this one for hints and tips! Link is on first page of this one :A
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

I *think* your C5 order will be due on 17th (I'm on the very last mailing plan & my C4 goes in on 14th) which means you can canvas with both sets of brochures, with C5 being your current brochure & C4 being your backorder xx

:wave:confused over here, please help! lol I have no idea what mail plan I am, but a few people seemed to be a few weeks behind me on here and my C4 goes in on Tuesday.... Surely her SL should have given her 5 + 6 if she only has til 17th for C5? Would make more sense to me, and that's how I started...
Can anyone tell me how I find my mail plan pls? :o

Thanks for this. my SL sais she has so many people signing up and needs more help. tbh I don't know much about it atm so need more info before deciding if its for me.

Good for you; definitely don't do it unless you really want to.

To give you an idea, that feeling you get when you're trying to deliver your goods but people are not in (and/or just not answering the door) is multiplied quite a few times when you've spent your time and money travelling to sign someone up, paid for a sign-up pack and their books, only to find that they are then rejected by Avon!:mad::mad: I had one recently and she lied to my face - stupid me.... am soooo trusting! :rotfl:

Of course, they're not all like that but it can be quite time-consuming being a SL. Like reps, we all support our team members to different degrees.
Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon ;))

    Hi

Your sales leader or area manager would have written your Mailplan reference on the green agreement you signed when you 1st started. (top left hand side, next to your area number). let me know if you cant find it via pm and i will look it up for you. xx

very excited 6 orders totalling £73.75, and lots of next times! only managed to collect 13 of the 32 books i dropped on thursday, once baby has had his afternoon nap will be back out door dropping next batch of houses and trying to collect some more catalogues to drop tomorrow

both answers make sense, my lady sandra (cant remember her title!) suggested door dropping houses no 4 and giving no 5 to friends and family, she is coming back on 17th to do my first order

got to page 8 of this thread this morning and will carry on when i am home this evening

def agree avon bags i love the sound of these - one lady has asked me if a product has collagen in it - hoping the website can answer this for me!

Oh i feel excited, i have already earnt my first £20 as i have order for leggings from 2 family members!!
