  • Hi all, sorry if this has already been posted but I've got to put my order in at 10 so haven't got time to look through. Does anyone know where the 2nd part of the loyalty scheme for the bathroom scales is in campaign 3? I ordered the Body Powder in Brochure 2 but can't find the numbers for the Speed Dry Nail Enamel and the Digital Bathroom Scales. Am I going mad or is it not in Brochure 3???

    Thanks for your help xx

  • Ignore me:o. After spending an hour looking for it I've found it at the back of brochure 3 lol!!!

  • Looks like I've got my customers well trained, Been delivering and everyone was in and waiting with their money!!!

Just got to try and train myself now. How do you ladies manage to stop yourself ordering loads for yourselves???

Not too bad for me at the moment as what I earn from Avon is my only source of personal spending money - everything I buy for myself eats into that! The trick if you want the goodies but don't want to spend the cash is creative ordering - a good example is recently (C3) the Naturals range was on BOGOF starting from around £2.60 each....however, a lot of the same products were available from 99p in the C2 book....so, your customer orders a shampoo, but doesn't order a freebie off the back of it, you can order her the matching conditioner as the free one, but order both items from C2 book at 99p each - she gets her freebie (and thinks you're a star for thinking to order it for her!) and you get a bit of extra cash on top. Another one is where there is a free gift with three purchases from a range, or a certain amount spent over pages from the brochure - by combining customer orders you can often get the freebies - you can then either keep them for yourself or use the individual bits as free gifts for customers.

I do all this but still end up spending anything I should have earned. I just need to practice a little more self control :o

An example of my way of thinking .... Oooh look Shampoo's are on offer, I'll order me some, while they're on offer. Thing is there always on offer so I'm not really saving that much, just adding to my clutter.

While I'm on about shampoo's I'd just like to say how impressed I am with the advance techniques stuff, for the price it is really good. Is the naturals stuff much good does anyone know?

Well done you! It makes it soooo much easier once you and your customers manage to get into a routine. I have 'quite a few' notes, which I tend to drop in i.e. to let them know you called (tends to almost 'guilt trip' them into communicating better with you - or even ordering something next time too by way of a little 'apology' :rotfl:for your hassle)

As for tips on not ordering for yourself - sorry, can't help with that. Am having a ball trying anything I fancy and returning it if I don't like it. :T Have never really been one for using a lot of make-up before but I've always been into skin care so I'm gradually working my way through the whole lot..... Well, we can only recommend if we try the products, eh? :j

  • This would be great cutiepie!

hey, i held a party at my house just before christmas, though it was for a few friends from work and my neighbour (6 in total) so there wasnt as much pressure/stress. if you want to know what i did on the night and how it went send me a pm. :)
  • well last night was order night for me, for campaign 3, but concidering i just brochure dropped to "regular customers" with book 2 (cos id been a lousy rep over christmas cos of my health problems) Our of the books id dropped, there was just 3 not left out for me, 3 non orders, and picked up 10 orders! orders were all quite smallish, overal order value was just under £100, pls remind me when avon work out "the earnings value" it is on the total order value isnt it? as i was sure campaign 3 was ment to be a lower HOV? but its not being reflected online, it was still at 20% and not the 25% i thought it should have been at.

i know that the mov was £52 or above for the 20% i dont know is they lowered the hov for 25% or if they just kept that the same,
My orders went in last night, after my little panic yday morning about my lack of orders i would just like to say thank god for family!! my 2 sister-in-laws and my mother in law managed to push my orders up from £55.30 to £91.75. the lowest avon orders ive had so far but at least i'm still making some money from it.
although i was just reading some things from yesterday night about ordering for ourselves! ive just ordered £19 worth of stuff for myself (not included in the orders above) i couldnt help myself!! and i did the same in C2, will be trying not to look through C4 to often so im not tempted to buy!! x

MarsdenCuckoo - oh yes, I think us reps are our own best returners! At least in my case anyway... I've had hardly any items returned from customers, and that was because of quality rather than "I just don't like it". I got several lipsticks for my grandma to try, and I've encouraged a new customer to try out some foundations because they're on backorder and it's their last chance to buy them cheap. I think another customer might have read the money-back guarantee bit on my note because they've ordered a few different foundations in the same shade. Maybe customers see returns as a hassle even though I provide my contact details? I know it's extremely convenient for me. Just returned the weighted skipping ropes because I expected them to be more erm... weighted. Overall they were very plastic-y and light - the handles not just the balls at the end.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
