put a small order in again. trouble is I cannot see what the item is that has been ordered!
Just a thought, this happened to one of my team members after she'd had a Manager Internet Order placed on her account. Another small charge appeared on her a/c after I'd picked up all the unwanted goods sent to her and returned them for credit. Turns out an item in the MIO was oos and posted on later. For some reason, no item showed in the order. Wonder if that's the same for you? (If so, as/when the item arrives, ask if they'll credit it back to your a/c i.e. allow you to keep it free as 'compensation' for the hassle of the MIO. My lady got to keep her lippy as a gift so was well chuffed..... It's just me that got the hassle! )Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Am thinking of signing up and just wanted to check if there is any difference in commission whether you do territory sales or F&F (other than you will prob sell more with territory). And how does territory sales work i.e. my close is covered by a rep (although she seems to have moved and got someone to "cover" her round, who only did one campaign then passed it to someone else so prob lots of her customers, myself included, are not v happy) but of course I know a lot of my neighbours and other people in the village very very well and I know they would probably buy from me, but don't want to tread on anyones toes!
Thanks. Philippa
Hi Philippa,
Welcome to the thread!
As others have already said, commission is exactly the same for F&F and Territory reps. Whoever you sign up with can apply for territory for you immediately (and they can tell you what it is). You don't have to accept that territory but, unfortunately, only the Area Manager can then allocate further territory for you.
How territory works is that you'll be allocated certain streets as your 'Given Territory'. Having said that all reps can sell to anyone they know personally (F&F) so overlaps occur and there's diddly squat anyone can do about it. Basically, it's a matter of looking after your customers to the best of your ability so they'll stay loyal to you. Luckily for us, customers don't tend to like changing reps anyway so once you've established your customer base they do usually stay with you unless a family member becomes a rep.
General consensus tends to be it's better to sign up via a Sales Leader rather than go direct to Avon but each to their own and all that. There's another thread on MSE showing where subscribers to these Avon threads are located throughout the UK. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2675375 Hopefully that will take you to it. Have a look and see if there's anyone near you although with the advent of the Internet, email, etc. etc. it's not vital as Sales Leaders can recruit anywhere within the UK - just find one, who you 'gel' with and you're confident will come to your aid/answer your queries when you've got them. (If all else fails you've always got us too! :T)
Good luck, whatever you decide.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Yes I am quite generous lol it helps people get off to a good start - if they put any effort in lol. I give a few other bits - guides on ordering etc as I've found some people find it too much to take in otherwise and this gives them a reference for the future. Yeah you can borrow the idea, I thought about it after looking at Gail Reynolds website and thinking hey she makes a big of the fact she gives out stuff, I can do the same too saying as I already gave the stuff out, people just didnt know they were getting extra than they would if they'd joined with someone else.
I only go prospecting when my asm organises things, otherwise I stick to delivering expired brochures and leaflets. Oh helps with delivering the books to on his days off. Mostly as otherwise he knows he'd get moaned at for not helping lol. I've been a rep for 2 years, sl for about year and a half now. Up to approx 19 in my team now. However I do work full time as well, Avon is just a bit extra for me so I don't spend that much time recruiting. I just help and support my existing reps as much as possible - email every campaign with ideas etc and any important messages from avon. Means I have a pretty good retention rate as people know if they get stuck they aren't alone and theyve been helped to get off to a good start from day one so they know they can make money if they get the sales.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I collected up the books id put out last week, yesterday was very plesently suprised, that out of the houses id delivered the books 2, only 2 didnt order and i'm still to collect another book, But i'm gonna go out today n put a few more books out around my street, as although i've got some orders in they aint great, but its put my mind at rent that my customers havent given up on ME even if i nearly did give up on them!
For campaign 4 I'm gonna do a complete recanvass. Just wish our printer wasnt playing up, dont know if its the remanufactured cartridges but always keeps jamming the page half way through with a printer cartridge error, and its started to not recognise the ink levels on the colour ones! SOOOO cant afford another printer thats for sure.0 -
How is the best way to try and get Parties booked, As i feel If i could get some booked this could really bring in some money! but so far my efforts have been like a damp squib and fallen through and then left me out of pocket!0

Is it an epsom printer? We've had major problems with ours, just wouldn't print black then you have to do cleans which uses loads of ink. In the end oh has decided to buy something to clean it and then sell on eBay. We got it when it was recently launched, now we look at reviews and basically everyone has had the Same problem. We've bought a colour laser, already had an old black one and it's never been any bother. New one is amazing, the quality is spot on. Ink is more but prints more pages so works out the same overall, and shouldn't get ink blockage problems so were hoping it will last for years.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Mmm... could be; I've had problems with compatible cartridges blocking the printheads before (Epsom, HP and Canon!) so I just stick to original cartridges now. (New printheads can work out more expensive than a new printer.) Now have a kodak printer, purports to be cheaper on ink - certainly the cartridges are cheaper. Did have a problem with my first one but as it was only 6 months old Kodak replaced it with a higher grade model. :j
Think am right in saying that you should try and print something out at least once a week to keep the printheads working OK.
Realise, none of that helps you - sorry! (And buying new cartridges for a potentially faulty printer is not a good recommendation either....) Good luck getting it sorted.
As for parties, I had a customer, who actually requested one (and then changed her mind at the last minute). I was geared up by then so I had it at my own home, thinking I could get the ball rolling that way. Am still trying to get someone else to have one but 'the ladies' have come to look forward to my now monthly 'at homes'...... Don't make a lot but suppose it increases sales order value.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Like you I bombed with Fergie i.e. did nothing and ended up sending them all back. Did better with the SuperMagnify mascara's as I put a note with each book, offering them at a cheaper price than the offer price in the book (and even cheaper if their next order was £10+)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
