Hi All! Haven't been on much so had a catch up late last night and this morning to see what I missed on here! For those who don't have C3 books, why not add a note if you give them a C2 and say that they can email you or look at your facebook for an online brochure with £4 foundations or something? I have some customers who prefer an online version and you get the sales with half the effort as you only have to deliver! Just a thought...
Am shattered, my baby isn't sleeping and hasn't done for over 3 weeks and I just can't catch up with myself, doesn't help having sinusitis either :(
I did better than I thought over the short campaigns. I can use my C3 books again as nobody has bought anything that contributes towards the offer, so hopefully won't have issues with the scales! I can't imagine that has been a very successful promotion somehow! Hoping to have some dry weather when I feel better and get out with the buggy and really push the Avon. Need the cash!!I have a faithful Anew customer which really helps ;)
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???
  • Hi all,
Am thinking of signing up and just wanted to check if there is any difference in commission whether you do territory sales or F&F (other than you will prob sell more with territory). And how does territory sales work i.e. my close is covered by a rep (although she seems to have moved and got someone to "cover" her round, who only did one campaign then passed it to someone else so prob lots of her customers, myself included, are not v happy) but of course I know a lot of my neighbours and other people in the village very very well and I know they would probably buy from me, but don't want to tread on anyones toes!
    Thanks. Philippa

    Hi Philippa

Territory and F&F discount is exactly the same.

With Territory it has to be assigned to you by your ASM you cannot just go and choose a road to canvass, however, seeing as you know your neighbours and other people in the village, they would fall under the F&F title.

Depending on the size of your village and how many other reps there are, there may be other roads available to for you to canvass.

Sleep Therapy Balm - I bought this while on offer in C2 as even when the baby was sleeping I wasn't. Desperate measures meant I would try anything!! It didn't get a chance to help though as he has got up so many times in the night since I can't find out!
However, it does absolute wonders when I have a headache! Have got sinusitis at the minute, and even with medication the headache lurks but if I apply this to my temples it eases within 10 minutes. Thought it may be helpful to someone here, but also could be a homeopathic selling point. If any of you try it and find it helpful please post so we know if it is just me or if it works?

I have done two roads so far and have 7 callbacks so pleased about that, still have a few books to collect though so will have to go out again before I can canvas another road.

I have been given another road because one I was given is an industrial estate, and it's full of mechanics, tyre places and builders so don't think they will be into it lol. Anyway the road I have been given is massive and has over 60 houses on it. What is the best way of doing it? I don't have many brocheres yet, also a few houses have not left them out grr. Should I do odds one day and evens another?

Also I put a little ditty in asking them to tick the box as to whther they want another book or not, if they haven't ticked should I post another one on the next campaign or guess they don't want anything ever?

Mrs GSR - for some reason lots of people don't take notice of the tick-box. Keep going back to these houses until you get a definite no, or until you think enough time has passed to rule them out. I do an A5 intro note that has the tick-box, mentions the money-back guarantee, has a little bit about how Avon's personal service and they'll always deal with me, contact details, and brochure collection day. I keep putting these notes in with brochures until I work out what's going on with that address. Since so few people do the tick-box I get several uses out of these notes - just changing the brochure collection day at the bottom.

It's worth asking at the industrial estate whether they'd like a few books to take back to wives and girlfriends. Or there might be a few women working there.

I've waited to put my new streets on backorder so you could stock up on books, then put them out when they become the backorder brochure. I just do whatever I can with what I've got and make a note of where I'm up to, even if that means stopping halfway round a street.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Thanks I,Geek. I think I will start making my note a bit more detailed. I did wonder whether I should keep delivering till they give me a definite no but I didn't want to annoy people!

Didn't think of delivering some books in for wives and girlfs of the blokes that work there so thanks for that!

There was one a few campaigns ago, not sure if books coming up, not checked.
  • I do something similar where I have given out a New Rep's Guide which I wrote myself and also give them brochure bags. Currently I have only given out 20 books, although was given some back brochures from another rep in the area so am going to pass them onto the 2 new ladies I signed up recently (hopefully they will introduce themselves on here sometime soon :)) Never thought about calling it a business pack though, do you mind if I nick your idea? :o

How many reps do you have in your team and how long have you been an SL? Do you go prospecting? Sorry about all the questions but it is all so new to me!!!

Haha top secret lol. Nah for f&f reps they get the things they should - 40 books, plus a pack of samples from across the ranges and my hint and tips in a booklet. Territory reps get 60 books, 40 resealable bags, about 25 calling cards and the hints and tips, which are slightly different for territory reps. Costs me about the same for both as the samples are more expensive than books, but for f&f samples are more use than more books as they might only have 10 people to give books to so not point giving them more. It's what I gave out before, but calling it that means people know they're getting more than they would if they joined with someone else where they'd probably get the books and that would be it. It means each person I sign costs me more, but me & oh figured that as time is limited for me that this way, it means I should have a better success rate with those I do sign. Plus, then I can have it on my advertising, to help put people off from just applying on the official website instead of contacting me.
    Everyone loves a bargain
