I was chatting to OH about Avon the other day. He asked if I kept a record of how much time I spent on it. I said I didn't particularly, his response was that if it was less than £5 per hour I should consider giving it up :eek:.
My response was.... well, if I can find another job where I can decide when I work, doing half an hour here & there, not working if there's something on at school/playgroup or if someone's ill, I'll think about it :rotfl:
I'm quite happy with my £30-40 per campaign towards school holiday fun! Yes, it's hard work but if suits my lifestyle.
Thanks, yes am with you, MT2. If you're only looking at income then Avon probably is not the place for you. There are, however, many more advantages to being an Avon rep:
* Flexibility re. hours
* No boss to answer to
* Discounted products
* Access to clearance goods every campaign
* 90 Day No Quibble Guarantee - Iit!!
* Ability to try any new products you fancy - with 13 days credit and/or even just return if you don't like it
* Free samples
* Free/even better discounted products via Creative Ordering
* Exercise
* Meet/make new friends
* Exchange of tips just by networking with your customers
Sorry, know I go on.... but since starting as an Avon rep my life really has been enriched - money's important but it's not the be all and end all.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks for replies re party.
Good suggestion about back ordering - I still haven't got to grips with that yet.
Some good offers coming up in Brochure 12 so may try and stock up a bit.

Good luck.
Basically they credited me £30 when they shouldn't so took it back as well as another £30. I did manage to get it sorted though and my balance is what it should be as they credited the £30 they shouldn't have taken back to me. One of my clients ordered the Body Illusion vest out of C10. Now in the brochure it is pink(30668) and there are definately no alternative colour order codes. So it came and I opened it and it is white ! So I very politely email customer services and they say no problem we will send out the correct one but not like a replacement which comes within 3-5 working days but with my C11 order.
I get my C11 order yesterday and they have put another white one in !! does anyone know if the pink one exists as at present I feel like it is a figment of my imagination. My client is a little bewildered too as of course there isn't a white vest in the brochure.
The worse thing is that I now have two white Body Illusion vests and one necklace to go back but the lady who very kindly takes my Avon order in for me is in hospital so I have no way of sending back the incorrect items(as we cannot post them anymore)
I don't usually have a problem with Avon but this has frustrated the hell out of me
Just in case any of your customers orders the Body Illusion Vest, there has been a printing error there is no PINK vest just a white one !! as told by Customer Services0 -

Either you meant soul-destroying or that's the best shoe leather pun I've yet heardHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I've got a similar situation ongoing. If you didn't get any results from the rep herself, contact your SL.
Good luckNow proud Mumto3 :j0
