  • Can I ask a question on this forum? I have a market stall and sell jewellery and accessories, I wondered would it be allowed if I sold Avon too? Thank you.

I do have one customer who takes her Avon book to work with her and picks up one or two orders from there

Just a thought - why not suggest to that customer that you'll give her 10% of any future orders she gives you?

PS: Not sure why my signature has been removed by Admin but am following it through. Meanwhile, if anyone else can point me in the right direction then please do. As far as I know, all it said was 'Avon Rep & Sales Leader' - yes/no?

Does anyone on here sell any Avon on a well know 'auction' site?

Have very recently discovered that once you list the item for sale, you get an order from a customer

Anew seems to sell well but only if cost was very, very low to you.
Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed. ;)

If you check out AvonConnects, it seems others are doing it. Have noooo ideas how, being that Avon T&C's say we should allow 24hrs from obtaining an order to delivering goods (and, of course, I seem to recall that Avon actually took someone to court in Scotland for opening an Avon 'shop' and selling on the High Street). Seems to me that selling at market stalls is 'pretty similar' but, having said that, so is offering the contents of 'Bargain Boxes' for sale at parties. Maybe it's a matter of 'what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve?'

The more I do Avon, the more I realise that rules are 'bent'... Not entirely sure, though, how far 'bending' goes before it constitutes 'breaking the rules'. Maybe it's just a matter of do it until you get caught?

Quickie question - has anyone worked out how to order the bracelets on page 25 of HT7? I can see how to order them individually but no idea of how to order the "4 for £10"? Personally I think they look very pretty and would make great gifts for friends so thought I might as well buy all 4 LOL

Could be wrong, but just order all four using their normal codes and, hopefully, it should show on your order/invoice at the reduced, cumulative price. Sometimes Avon quote a separate code for a combined offer but sometimes the system just cumulates the offer and the reduced price kicks in. If in doubt, order the items then 'View My Order' and 'View Sub-total' and the intended charge will then appear (and hopefully verify).

Thanks for that - but in the same place I have my market stall (won't mention where) until recently a lady had a stall of Avon stuff and she did very well, now she has gone off to have a baby, and won't be back for some time - wonder what they would say???

fifi, it could be a case of ... how long before someone reports it to Avon.... or you find you can carry on selling your excess stock with no problems.

Thanks - I haven't even signed up to become a rep yet, this is just a thought, I'm not sure I want to run in to trouble! But a girl had an avon stall with books there for at least 6 months and she did very well!

Only guessing but.... if you became a rep then you could offer your books along with your other goodies and strictly speaking you could use your stall as a point of contact for your customers i.e. to take a book and bring their order back. IF, at the same time, you had 'a bargain box' of items to incentivise your customers then that should be OK - yes/no/perhaps? As ever, the longer I do Avon, the more I realise that rules are bendable.... ;) Just don't go placing an ad in your local paper! :rotfl:

  • Morning ladies, thanks for your ideas Turkishdreamer, Marsdencuckoo and moneymaker (hope I didn't miss anyone out)...

I quite like the bubble bath in the egg cup idea although I think 'my customers' are shower not bath people. You could do the same with shower gel I suppose so I will give it a go and report back.

    Thanks for your help. ;)
