  • I've just given my SL £5.50 for 20 books :o

What? That's appalling!! Least I think it is.... That's even more than you'd pay if ordering them from Avon. How did she come to that price? Ask her (and let us know how you get on). FYI, even if she had to order them as an additional order from Avon and got them delivered direct to you it wouldn't have cost her that much.

OK, know am probably too soft but as far as I'm concerned we're supposed to support our team, not rip them off!

I offer my excess books at a discounted rate, however when people have forgotten to order books I've charged them what they should have paid, but only mostly as I don't want them assuming they can get books from me all the time as I might not have enough, and it covered my petrol costs for taking the books to them.

Each to their own; as I said, am too soft.... Also have a lot of personal reps on my team so they only want one pack; I'd rather support them rather than Avon charge over £3

Somehow I even managed supporting a rep on someone else's team that way too. That DID get a bit silly when sometimes she was out but the upside is that she's now come onto my team so guess every cloud and all that! :T

  • Sure it's meant to be 20, someone else will be along shortly to tell you for definite though.

Thanks, yes, as far as I'm concerned it's a minimum of 20 books/4 packs for each newbie's first two campaigns. Some SL's will give more if they have them spare and/or some books from the newbie's back campaign. When a newbie places their first order over MOV, their SL/upliner gets reimbursed for 2 x 4 packs of books + the cost of a sign-up pack.

    Ok thanks.

Also do you deliver your books with your orders or do you have specific times you deliver your books so you have rounds and then take your deliveries on a seperate day if that makes sense

Each to their own i.e. different ways of doing it, but I always put the next book in with the goods when I deliver them and when I collect that book back in I prep it again and give it out to the non-orderers in that campaign.

  • hey guys, havent posted for a while so hope everyone is well. avon has taken a backseat lately, esp. with the 2wk camps. Thankfully we are back to normal now!
I have 269 houses to recanvass - 14 of which are existing customers. so the next few camps will be busy. If it would be helpful for people i will keep posting on the progress recanvassing. looking at the breakdown from my ASM, they expect 1 in 3 houses to be customers with an average spend of £4 each. I am lucky to get 1 in 10 at the moment.

I'd love to know where they get they're 1 in 3 from! I've just re-canvassed my area after leaving them for around three campaigns, out of around 130 houses I got 3 new customers, but I went out yesterday and collected in about 35 books and managed a grand total of 2 orders, and about 25 people that weren't in and hadn't left there books out, it's when I do a pick up like that it really gets me down, but I've yet to give books to my regulars, so hopefully I'll be feeling a little happier next week when they've had their books.
  • so does everyone else seem to take a break between submitting their order and delivering the orders? That's how I usually do it but found I was struggling getting the books back before putting my order through, must say though I've felt a little guilty this time as people who don't normally order have had the new book before my regulars.

    Ok so what now?
Have just put in my C3 and C4 order and have MOV on each (£10 off HOV on one grrr) also have ordered C5 and C6 books.
When it all comes obviously I deliver the goods to the customers but what about canvassing? do I deliver all the books out to the "yeses" or do I give them to the customers?
I can't see me getting any orders for the next few camps as I done so well on these ones.

Not sure on the maths on this one but would it be worth ordering a few bits for yourself to take you up to HOV, and get the 25% discount?
