Thank you, I'll ask for more territory, I was soooo annoyed because it's 100+ houses!! Grrr!!! I have told my sales leader so hopefully will find out soon what's happening!

Also, I am thinking about becoming a Sales Leader, could you tell me a bit more about being a sales leader?? Thank you so much xx

For my 2p-worth, don't even consider being a SL unless you have a background in Sales and/or lots of time/energy (+ even money... I jest you not - it will cost you money to become a SL) to invest. I thought I was being clever (i.e. assumed it was a nailed-on certainty that I'd qualify immediately,) by lining up 5 newbies to sign up all together - WRONG. Took me me ages and I only managed it then because my upliner lined up the leads to sign up.

Apart from that, unless you're totally au fait with everything to do with being a rep, how can you possibly help guide others through it all? I waited nearly a year, achieved PC and then made the move.... even so, I lose hours/days/£'s supporting my team and trying to expand it.

Don't be put off though! :rotfl: Am glad I did it.... just don't dream of taking that step until you're ready!

Unless you sign up as a Trainee SL, you would be better off passing them to your SL. But first ask your SL if she does any kind of reward system for referrals, ie £5 voucher, etc.
  • Ohhh a trainee SL, I've asked my SL but she doesn't seem too bothered in helping me so that's why I'm asking you guys a million questions lol!!

How do I go about signing up as a trainee SL?? Thank you x

  • Id never have thought of pens! strange but true! and i quite like my avon pens, they generally work quite well! I think I might add a few more pens to my order actually!

As for freebies, the Avon pens are worth considering too..... 20p each but it somehow adds a bit of kudos to your customers. Sometimes I do a £x spend and get a free gift but occasionally I just give my regular customers (and ones I'm trying to encourage) a free pen. Everyone loves a freebie.:D

a trainee SL, is an SL, who is tagged as a trainee, until they have 5 Reps in their team, but these Reps need to be putting orders in.

If you only have 1 or 2,you are a trainee SL.

I wouldn't recommend it just yet Pink Mummy. As MC said, there are a lot of costs involved, ones you don't get told about.....

you have to pay £25 for your SL starter kit, including bag, this is not a choice, it is compulsory

you have to pay for sign up kits

you have to pay for extra books for sign ups

you have to pay to go and see sign ups and then they change their minds, you have lost money

you have reps who go to debt

not trying to put you off, but I would be a Rep for a bit longer before considering Sales Leadership.

I have just been tagged as a TsL, thinking I should have waited after the lasst few comments. I hVe only been doing Avon for 4 campaigns but think I am ready as I love it and really feel I could offer support to new reps... My upline hasn't given me support but she is leaving and I will be under a up lie who will support me, this I think has been really good as I now know how bad an upline can be.... Just need to start recruiting now ;)

Really helpful infor re Sales Leadership. After the comments I have read I think I am going to put it on the back burner for now! thank goodness for this thread, really gives the "warts and all" of Avon instead of just the nice bits!
